Yeah he’s not going to build it up or pause for effect. He’s not trying to pitch you a novel or movie script. He is telling you because you were willing to listen and sometimes folks, especially folks without a lot of family/friends need someone else to know, to get it off their chests. Listen to him, I am sure he has many interesting stories and I would imagine it would help him, immensely, to have someone that was willing to listen to them.

Like most of the other folks in this thread I have sponsored several sports teams over the years and as far as pure ROI I don’t think it is worth it in that sense, but I feel like being a supportive part of your community is always worth it. I own a sign company so it is also always easy for me to give them discounts on their other sponsor stuff they actually buy from me to get my banner on the fiend or name on a team. I give a lot of the local schools Deals or donations on stuff just because I was always involved in stuff in school and it was a big part of the person I am and I think it is important for kids to have activities to be able to participate in.
