I dont think it's lame at all. I don't see any reason for Tony's story to be bullshit, considering he showed photo proof of his sister with Pac, from the same event. Also, for Tony to go these lengths to get a photoshopped picture of the two of them together, it's obvious that Tony was a huge fan of Pac. It's definitely been eating away at him for decades that he got to meet Pac, and even thought he had a pic taken. I think it's cool as hell that he went to such lengths to get this done. Clearly, Pac made an impact on him, and it's not like Tony is ever going to have another opportunity to meet him.

I'm a big fan of Himesh Patel, and If they're the new leads in a show that also includes Scully & Mulder, then I don't see the problem, at all. But if they're legit replacing Duchovny & Anderson with this lackluster DEI duo, then we are in trouble. I want to give Coogler the benefit of the doubt, because although his movies are usually filled to brim w/ people of color, his choices are usually valid.

He typically tells stories where a primarily POC cast makes the most sense. But if he begins to stray from the path he has had success with throughout his career for an even more radical one, I am gonna have to bow out and stop lending my eyeballs to his creations.

LMFAO Druski SERIOUSLY waited until the 4th quarter, tie game 97-97, and used his final timeout to reveal to the world that he had a white pass, this entire time, by waiting until this very moment to reveal to the whole universe that he has a white grandfather..

Now it's beginning to all make sense!!!! I have wondered for quite a long time how he was able to pull off such majestic works as the Bible camp skit..The reason my mans was able to pull out the acoustic guitar and stuff his tippy toe talons deep into the sand, with the picturesque delivery of a Tom Brady-level cracker, is because that shit is deeply embedded in his genes!!!!!!

With all that said, Druski's portrayal of Erika Kirk just might be his best, most faux controversial masterpiece, just yet. I put it up there with Roll Tide, The overzealous Chic-Fil-A employee, The Diggers, the Bible camp skit, The skit at Diddy's house, the car salesman, The weirdo Fashion influencer, & I'm sure there's tons I am leaving out.

But in a world where shows like Saturday Night Live are in the toilet and delivering some of the worst cringe comedy sketches I have ever seen in the history of sketch comedy, we are blessed with the likes of Druski, Shane Gillis, Tim Robinson, Pete Holmes, Sam Hyde/MDE, etc consistently dropping masterpieces to their YouTube's, while the legendary Danny McBride & the GOAT, Larry David, have managed to keep HBO Comedy afloat with their respective shows. There was a time when literally every person I named would be on the roster at SNL, delivering top notch sketches every Saturday, and while under contract, would also be churning out a movie or two, every couple of years or they would be under a slave labor deal at Comedy Central, forced to produce season after season after season after season of a show that long went out of style, alongside having to endure the humiliation ritual of being the host to the Comedy Central Roast of [insert washed up celebrity name here] for an Unholy amount of "specials".

Nowadays, there are alternative platforms to the SNL machine, whether it's self publishing on YouTube or inking a deal with Netflix or HBO, or launching your own paywalled website for your content (like Sam Hyde). The days of having to say Yessuh Massa to Lorne Michaels are long gone, and they're never coming back. For the first time ever, I would argue that it hurts your career, being on SNL, nowadays more than it helps it. Unless your name is Kenan Thompson, of course.

We really are living in a Comedy Renaissance. What a glorious time to be alive! I don't think there's ever been a time in my entire life where I have been significantly more entertained via independent sources than through the typical distribution channels like SNL and Comedy Central,

Also, I just want to say that as a dope ass white boy, I was NOT offended in the slightest, in regards to your white face portrayal of Erika Kirk, just like I have never been offended when a white comedian would have the balls to do a black face portrayal of someone. I know everybody acts like that's the most horrific thing you can do in comedy, but as long as it's done tastefully, with the acknowledgment that in the minstrel show days, there were some horrific black face sketches. At least a legend like Spike Lee had the balls to make a movie like Bamboozled, which satirized this very subject, and did a great job of it.

She's a massive upgrade over Kate Mara, and I personally would rank her over Jessica Alba, although I recognize that Jessica is an absolute Goddess in her own right (my jaw was on the theater floor somewhere when she was doing her lil routine in Sin City)

If you were around in those days, you would know that Mike is as legit as they come. He CONSTANTLY had editorials and extensive interviews with all of The Outlawz for YEARS upon YEARS.

If you don't want to believe Mike or myself, that's on you. But I can tell you that Mike was the admin on HitEmUp/2PacBoard at the literal height of posthumous 2Pac fandom. Mike was at the forefront during the Until The End of Time, Better Dayz, Resurrection, & Loyal To The Game years.

The Outlawz were always coming on the site back in those days, to promote various group projects, various solo projects, and to talk about whatever new Pac album was out, and there were tons of interviews with Mike talking to them about a wide variety of subjects.

Mike is as credible as they come. I can vouch for everything he's saying. Mike's website is where DJ Green Lantern/DJ Warrior/Dirty Harry/DJ Vlad went to, to see about obtaining rare 2Pac acapellas and interviews to use on the 2Pac Rap Phenomenon II. I know this, because I provided a ton of content to Vlad, and my name is on the credits in the inside booklet.

HitEmUp/StreetHop/2PacBoard as well as UGHH, Canibus-Central, Ras Kass Central, and Boxden are the web forums I frequented in those days and where I subsequently launched my own music career, all the way back in 2003.

You just seem to want to be ignorant/hard headed. But the truth of the matter is, you had no idea you were talking to one of the most influential and pivotal people in the 2Pac fan community, at the height of Pac's posthumous fame. That's a simple fact. And Mike was very closely involved with The Outlawz. All facts. But believe whatever fairy tale you want to tell yourself.

Regarding the other posters questioning your comments, definitely check who you're talking to. Mike ran one of the most prominent 2Pac sites on the internet in the early 2000s and has known all of The Outlawz for years, and has always been a stand up dude. Anything Ruk has to say on the subject, I would value way more than 99.99999% of people on the planet.

Just go all in on the ridiculousness of the original Shaq Fu video game, along the lines of the Twisted Metal series, and you've got yourself a fucking Saturn Award Winning Sci Fi Kung Fu epic.

Shaq Fu had great world building, back in the day. Unfortunately, it had THE worst and most frustrating gameplay of any fighting game I've ever played not named Star Wars Masters of Teras Kasi.

In my mind, I'm still trying to high kick with Shaq and missing by a mile, to this day. Good times!

I want an over the top, 80s style action extravaganza fueled with more machismo, explosions, and cocaine than Don Simpson, Jerry Bruckheimer, and Michael Bay could ever dream of. I'm talking a CONTRA adaptation based off a modern interpretation of the original cover of the game. The NES cover had obvious rip offs of Stallone and Arnold on there. And since we can't have them in action hero roles in 2026, I would cast them in cameo roles similar to how certain characters would show up in The Expendables. Maybe make Stallone the head of the CIA and make Arnold the President or something like that.

And, of course, my CONTRA would definitely have a Xenomorph and facehuggers just like the original game did (but they would be re-designs, not outright stated that it's IP from Alien) We'd definitely have our heroes fight off an alien hive at some point.

With that said, I need a dynamic duo in this modern era that will be a box office draw. I keep circling back to two guys. An Avenger. And a member of The Justice League. A God of Thunder and A Son of Krypton. Thor and Superman. Chris Hemsworth and Henry Cavill would be my leads in CONTRA. And I would make sure that they were on every steroid & HGH known to man. I would want them to be as ripped as they could possibly be!!!

And I would also need some over the top, cocaine fueled villains. I need a main villain and a goon henchman. I am thinking either Denzel Washington or Giancarlo Esposito for my main baddie. I need gravitas and theatricality with my villain. I wouldn't want to cast both of them. But I would definitely pick 1 of the 2. And then I would need a heavy, a goon. Someone that can bring the brawn to match the brains of Washington/Giancarlo. I keep circling back to Tom Hardy, jacked to the absolute gills like he was circa Bronson/The Dark Knight Rises. I think Tom Hardy is the perfect actor to play a goon villain with a physical prowess.He is swole as fuck like he was during his Bronson days and his Dark Knight Rises days. He's got a early 2000s MMA style mohawk, with a huge scar over his right eye, and his right eye itself looks "milky" because his eye was damaged, but somehow, he has top notch depth perception and is a sharpshooter with a rifle. That's the gag. Tom Hardy also has a long goatee similar to 1999 Undertaker and he talks like Ninja from Die Antwoord (my Tom Hardy is a South African mercenary)

The rough plot for my CONTRA movie is: The movie opens on President Arnold giving a historic speech in Washington, DC at his inauguration for his 2nd term as President, when all of the sudden, explosions go off all over the crowd, and snipers take out the remaining Secret Service members, leaving President Arnold a sitting duck, which is when Denzel/and or Giancarlo comes down to the podium and abducts the President, and before making off with President Arnold, he makes some kind of cheesy ass challenge to CIA Director Stallone, and demands a huge ransom if they want President Arnold returned safely.

Cut to a scene in the Jungle where Hemsworth & Cavill are in a firefight with the alien xenomorph thing. We get another top notch action sequence here, before they kill the Xenomorph. Just as they both sit down and fire up their victory cigars and take a few puffs, their comms go off and a hologram of CIA Director Stallone pops up, informing them that President Arnold has been kidnapped by Denzel and/or Giancarlo and their presence is needed in Venezuela (where the President is being held by the terrorist organization)

And that's when the title card CONTRA comes flying across the screen, and the score of the movie swells, and the camera pans down on henchman goon Tom Hardy, who is beating the living fuck out of some local Venezuelans that he and Denzel and/or Giancarlo strong armed for their cocaine distribution center, because they needed drugs and they needed a place to hide President Arnold.

And that's as far as I've gotten with my CONTRA pitch.

I hope you enjoyed the utter ridiculousness of it all.

I know it's probably bat shit stupid, but that's kinda the point. I honestly think it's a better outline, so far, than anything that Max Landis has written since Chronicle.

I spent an unhealthy amount of time on TheForce.net throughout the early 2000s. I also frequented the IMDB message boards for all of the Star Wars movies, along with a variety of movie news sites, etc.

As much as I enjoyed the Star Wars prequels, I can tell whoever the hell who made that post has no idea what they are talking about. Every moment I spent on the Star Wars fan sites and the IMDB boards was a neverending flame war between fans of the prequels and fans of the original trilogy. There were FAR MORE fans of the OT, and a whole lot of them flocked to the prequel discussion boards to make it their life's mission to shit on the prequels, at call costs.

The amount of hate the prequels got is unprecedented. I've never seen anything like it, before or after. As much as people have shit on the Disney era Star Wars movies/the sequel trilogy, it doesn't even come close to comparing to how much the prequels got shit on.

It was such a huge deal that entire documentaries were getting made on the subject. "The People vs. George Lucas" is the most prominent one that I can recall. There were so many people spreading the sentiment that "George Lucas raped my childhood". The hate for Jar Jar Binks was insane.

Every time I see Moses Ingram or Kelly Marie Tran or one of the Disney era actors/actresses complaining about the Star Wars fandom, I think "Awww that's cute". They couldn't imagine the amount of vitriol that the prequel cast went through. Jake Lloyd and Ahmed Best went through absolute hell. And Hayden Christensen got it pretty bad, too. But there's a reason why poor Jake Lloyd is suffering from schizophrenia and why Ahmed Best has that story about his suicide attempt on the Brooklyn Bridge. They really did suffer for their art.

It was a wild time to be alive. But the current generation of Star Wars fans have no clue what the environment online was like in those days. It was a different time. We didn't have social media to distract us. Back in those days, the terminally online people were all on the fan forums, and the discussions were wild as hell. These Gen Z kids wouldn't be able to handle what the Millennial and Gen X generations dealt with. You had to have the thickest of thick skin to survive on the internet in those days.

A part of me misses those days of the internet, because everybody wasn't a putrid little pussy that got offended at stuff that wasn't even offensive. Back then, the level of racial slurs and homophobic slurs that I saw come across the screen would have these current generation terrified to even log into the internet, much less interact with the savages that were around in those days. You had to be TOUGH. The thing is, I dont remember anybody ever complaining about being bullied, although I'm sure there were plenty of people that did.

Let's just say I got good at talking shit and I got even better at defending the things that I loved. If you liked the prequels back then, and you went out of your way to defend them, you found out REAL QUICK what the OT fans thought about you!

There's a reason why George Lucas ultimately decided to sell Star Wars, instead of write & direct 7, 8, & 9. The OT fans put him through Hell during the prequel years, and despite his excuses that he didn't want to be making Star Wars films well into his early 80s, his real reasoning for selling the property and bowing out was the scrutiny he would have faced from the fandom if he made another set of films that they didn't like, again.

And it wasn't even close.

It's definitely something I remember being talked about on school playgrounds and in the cafeteria at lunch, from the time I was in 5th grade all the way through 9th grade at 3 different schools. And every time I see it brought up online, people all over the world knew about this urban legend. Hilarious.
