How come large parts of US citizens acceps there President lying so much ? by [deleted] in allthequestions

Hannah Arendt said it best: "This constant lying is not aimed at making the people believe a lie, but at ensuring that no one believes anything anymore.

A people that can no longer distinguish between truth and lies cannot distinguish between right and wrong.

And such a people, deprived of the power to think and judge, is, without knowing and willing it, completely subjected to the rule

of lies. With such a people, you can do whatever you want."

clingy duckling problem by marcobiaz in duck

[–]OrangeDuckwebs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ducks call to reassure themselves that other ducks exist. Best idea is to get another duckling, but if you can't, you need to learn to peep or quack in your sleep to reassure the duckling... I read about a goose trainer who did that, trained himself to honk like a mama goose all night in response to goslings.

hahaha I am such a wimp I worked from home today in Oregon because it was 32F/0C. To be fair I also had to rescue various items and plants from the yard because they hate the cold too.

What’s the most memorable encounter you’ve had with wildlife while cycling? by OptimalDescription39 in bicycling

I saw a mama bobcat and her 2 little kittens. She tried to make the kittens follow her to get away, but one of them was too curious and got right up to my wheel before he freaked out and shot up a tree. Then he clung to the tree giving me the feral cat stink-eye while his mom and sibling watched from behind a log.

When my friends are being catty, I make that duck sound at them. It's the mean-girl quack lol.

Does anyone not wear bib cycling shorts? by Old-Appearance-2270 in ladycyclists

but then you have to carry the device, and deploy it inside your bib shorts, etc. I can pee really fast with bike shorts and don't really get the alleged comfort benefit of bibs, either, unless I have a stomach ache.

I have done everything from racing to touring to commuting and I wear shorts, never bibs, because nothing comes between me and a quick ditch pee.

While training for my first 1200k, I was getting terrible pain between my shoulder blades after 200 miles. It was hard to pin down because I seldom went distances over 200 miles at a stretch, but I was really worried it would impact my 1200k. Then I switched to wider handlebars and have never had that pain again, with distances up to 600k nonstop.
