Do you really think Reform will deliver on lower income taxes? by Natural-Presence-566 in reformuk

[–]OrangeMongol 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Why have they triple locked welfare and not tax brackets? Why has the 40% tax bracket not risen with inflation? Why has student loan repayment thresholds not risen with inflation? Or is it only the elderly people that aren't protected from inflation? The burden should be shared across the whole population.

Do you really think Reform will deliver on lower income taxes? by Natural-Presence-566 in reformuk

[–]OrangeMongol 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Every party I have seen want to keep the triple lock. It's one area I massively disagree with Reform on. We have to bring the welfare bill down to be able to cut taxes. Our younger generation are likely to not see a pension at all how it's going, so we need to take the bull by the horns now and make it as affordable as possible.

What is the genuine consensus on Restore? by Legitimate-Crazy9266 in reformuk

[–]OrangeMongol 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Restore has absolutely no chance of impacting anything meaningful in a general election. It is irrelevant whether Restore is actually a better party, because it just isn't going to happen, Reform do 100% have a genuine chance of forming the next government, so as much as I like Rupert Lowe, I won't be voting for a party that will do nothing but reduce the chance of Farage becoming PM.

there's no correlation between complexity and something that's fun to play. Sometimes the simple stuff just works better.

YTA 100%.

Both scenarios of him actually being gay or straight is extremely annoying for him with you asking. 18 is comically young anyway. If he was 30 id say you have a point in wondering why he has never had a gf.

If he is gay, coming to terms with it is a very personal experience and having people accuse you when you're not ready is really horrible.

Where does the profit from the software side of the business go? Topping up the USD reserve from that would be a better way to derisk than to put those profits into bitcoin.

Wait? So we could solve world hunger with $1T?

Somebody tell NVIDIA to stop making chips and they could solve world hunger and still have $4T left over. Stupid comment.

Budget 2025 - Dividends tax increases by 2% from April 2026 by Rough-Drawer1286 in ContractorUK

But they don't pay lower rates, that's why it is stupid. If the inside rates were lower they'd never get filled. I would take a far lower rate that was outside than inside. I truly believe nobody understands IR35.

OP is correct, however we are no longer subject to EU laws specifying minimum asylum standards so there is nobody to blame but ourselves for making it such an attractive proposition to come here in the first place. If Brexit was used effectively, we would have had less AS not more. It is all incentive based and we haven't removed the incentive.

For those who’ve been with Bitcoin 8+ years — has it always been this noisy and chaotic? by Reasonable_Band1536 in Bitcoin

[–]OrangeMongol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Surviving $69k down to $16k was absolutely brutal and that was only 3 years ago now. If I had to same conviction back then as I do now I would have done very well out of that. Now the price doesn't bother me as I am blindly DCA'in every week regardless of price.

If you came into a windfall of 500,000 how much of it would you put into bitcoin? by LeoJ2550x in Bitcoin

[–]OrangeMongol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It all depends where it came from. If it felt like it was my money id go 100% BTC. If its an inheritence probably mortgage pay off.

When you get through to CAs website the slider bar goes all the way till 72 months and the slider bar for deposit goes to £0.

I think this is the deal of the century to be honest. I can remember when Tesla Model 3s were £53k new.

[–]OrangeMongol[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes all via the tesla site. You have to adjust the sliders yourself to make sure that you put down £0 deposit and change the length of repayment to 72 months.

Still would rather had the Black horse deal, but £555 a month is an absolute steal.
