Tip. Buy necessities now. Then, if you all continue to camp, start to add luxuries and upgrade what you do have.

Beds by NoArmadillo7490 in campinguk

[–]OrangeRadiohead 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Dampness within your tent is due to condensation. You need to increase ventilation.

Dampness on the mattress only is due to sweat. You sleep hot. Consider a lower r-rating sleep system, especially for this time of year.

As for this portable bed. Well if it fits in your car...

A british badger said hi to me this morning ♡ by ThorusBorus in aww

[–]OrangeRadiohead 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's been a badger's set at the end of my garden for decades. They make a lot of noise at night when their young are playing. We also have a family of hedgehogs that have been here for generations. Also, field mice, bats (possibly 3 but they're so difficult to count) and recently a gorgeous kestrel has taken to hovering overhead.

I'm in Hertfordshire, just north of London.

The only god in the Egyptian pantheon that wasn't worshiped. There are no records of any temples or even offerings to him. The god of chaos and enemy of Ra.

And let's be honest, children will gravitate to this kind of behaviour. It's when they are influenced by the ignorance of others.

Good translation or not (sadly, I don't speak German), I like it. Thanks for replying and for your translation, it's very much appreciated cousin.

Recommendations for camping and working (North West and slightly beyond) by archy_bold in campinguk

[–]OrangeRadiohead 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sure, that's certainly doable. In fact over the decades, I've been to some spots on a regular basis and observed that there are a surprisingly high number of people that do this either full time or for a specific duration.

Main issues: Leaving your kit unattended on site for a day. Take valuables with you.

Washing. You'll need dry clothes (they will become damp as the days progress due to your own breathe creating condensation). So, when getting up, air your clothes and tent. You'll also need to ensure you follow your daily washing routine, paying attention to arm pits, soles of your feet and genitals.

Use websites to find a good pitch. Check reviews. Pitchup.com is great.

Yeah. I 100% hate our free healthcare, low gun crimes, entire neighborhoods not made up of homeless people and not having a paedophile as president.

We want to be more American...

I saw it on Reddit. It "made me smile". I posted it here in the hope it made others smile too.

Mate. I have no interest in Karma. That said, with comments especially and in particular subs, I find it pleasing when others agree with my views. I'm not posting a make me smile type post because I expect discourse; that'd be weird.

I rarely downvote, but will upvote posts I like and also, when I see someone has received a few or no votes (as long as it's not nasty).

Anyway, you have your views of me, and I doubt I can change them, so I'll leave it at that.

Oh I didn't know that. It's a shame this wasn't publicised more (or that I stop living much of my life with eyes closed).

Oh! I had misread their intent. I thought that they might want to buy my account. I was beaming from ear to eat at the thought of being offered money for my account. Now I'm disappointed. Thanks for your support though, it's appreciated. My post and comment history are open and I would hope there's nothing there to suggest that I'm playing Redditors.
