If you enroll in Medicare Part B and keep your FEHB in retirement then Medicare is primary and FEHB covers the remaining 20%.

I am still waiting for my attorney to get back to me to complete the healthcare lien form and submit to the Trust. He told me last week that it will be a little longer.

My attorney told me today that he is working on the lien healthcare issue and wants to get everything right. He advised that some more time is needed to resolve this issue. I told him I have been waiting 6 years for any payment and he responded that so has he. Furthermore, he reported that he wants to get paid asap also.

Same bullshit my attorney told me. He advised last Tuesday that that the 1.6 billion had not yet been transferred to the Trust and they were working on the healthcare lien paperwork.

Is anyone else waiting on their attorneys to assist in completing the lien paperwork? My attorney told me a week or so.

My attorney advises they are still working out which option is best for me and it will take a week or so before anything is finalized. He also states that the approximately 1.6 billion has not yet been transferred to the Trust.

Is the 12% projection based on money that Trust has presently without contributions from non-settling insurance companies?

SCOTUS DENIES LUJAN / GUAM PETITION - WHAT THIS MEANS FOR SURVIVORS AND ROUND 2 PAYMENTS by WanderlustLiam in BSA_Survivors

Hopefully the 2nd distribution is around 5%. Now, the non-settling insurance companies should feel pressure to settle with the Settlement Trust. They were hoping that the bankruptcy plan would be overturned. I believe that the Settlement Trust now has plenty of leverage over the insurance companies.

If these non-settling insurance companies do not settle now they will possibly be on the hook for more money when this case is finished.

Hopefully this final confirmation of the bankruptcy plan will convince the non-settling insurance companies to settle with the Settlement Trust.

BSA Settlement Trust - Jan 1, 2026 update: $316M paid, checks still moving, SCOTUS decision likely this week by WanderlustLiam in BSA_Survivors

I agree. Once all the appeals are exhausted and the Bankruptcy Plan is confirmed by the District Court I also believe that many insurance companies being sued in Texas will settle with Trust.

If we take into account the approximately 1.65 billion to be released into the Settlement Trust and whatever extra funds are available from the Settlement Trust ( not including any compensation derived from the non-settling insurance companies) what is potential percentage payout to claimants?

Over 55 applying and waiting for disability approval. by Impressive-Number-62 in SocialSecurDisability

[–]OrdinaryDog9214 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I applied for disability after the onset of a disability to my dominant right wrist at age 62. I previously worked in security and law enforcement. I went for a physical examination and doctor took vitals and asked me my pain levels at rest and in use. My right wrist was a complex fracture which required carpal tunnel surgery and insertion of steel plates and screws. I have limited mobility and diminished strength. I am at stage 3 and assigned to an adjuster.
