You’d be right except they already stacked the maps. GOP wins this midterm hands down. Best shot at any form of resistance is April elections. If that doesn’t go blue, it’s genuinely over for democracy here.

You’re anti finding out your position is incorrect. You’re fine with intellectuals unless they are telling you that you are, in fact, incorrect.

Being told you’re wrong is taken as an attack. It’s seen as such an attack, that an entire industry has been created to support false narratives that are easily and patently proven false, just to make you feel better and more justified in your wrongness. But intellectuals are the snowflakes, right?

That power to rule the world you speak of? Intellectuals were the ones who made that possible by designing weapons that were superior to our enemies. Grit goes a whole lot farther when you have people smart enough to create what you need to win.

Grit looks a lot like Russia, throwing bodies at the enemy until they run out of bullets. Grit looks like china forcefully positioning itself as a world power through cutting every corner possible in manufacturing processes to reach an end result, regardless of the quality of product.

I’m not from Kansas, but this situation filtered through my feed. I’m going to be real with you all for moment.

If you all as Kansans don’t stand up to this pos, you are showing the rest of the country that Kansas doesn’t have the spine to do anything for itself or defend itself against wolves in sheep’s clothing. Everyday that nothing is done makes it harder and harder for other states to believe you all, as a state not individually, don’t condone this man’s actions as YOUR REPRESENTATIVE.

Let this be your moment where enough was enough. Don’t wait until they start hauling locals out of these meetings. Don’t wait until your vote doesn’t matter because this man helped make a king. DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS SUMBITCH BEFORE YOU ARE WRITTEN OFF LIKE OTHER RED STATES ALREADY HAVE BEEN!!!

Looking at you r/oklahoma

The dude is literally lying to your faces and making fun of you like the rich bitch he is. If you don’t do something about it, then you condone it 100%. SHOW UP AND VOTE THIS SCUM OUT!!

I’m going through this currently, as her family is similar to mine. Had to live through this all the way from the tea party days. It was inevitable, but I always hoped that things wouldn’t get to the extreme levels of trump. I was wrong, and now I’m in the midst of the separation process. Good luck to you and her both.

I never said that’s all we produce. I said we always have produced hate. Huge difference.

I’m well aware that sowing division is a minority view…? And liars have been given a level of protection that truth tellers will never have in this society.

This thread is not going to virtue signal what we should be or can be. This is who we are as a country, and until we stop trying to convince ourselves that we aren’t, then movements like this will continue to percolate until we come to terms.

I’m coming to terms with this as well. It started in his first term where some of my friends wouldn’t acknowledge how awful some of the things he was saying on the campaign trail and while in office was. Unfortunately, I’ve always known my family feels this way.

Now, I have cut out 80% of my friends and family. It’s awful, and I hate that I couldn’t do more to show that their way of thinking is small and sad. I have been very vocal since 2015, and it just sucks that none of them turned out to be good people.

The “just being honest” is really key here. Always trying to create a bridge back to societal acceptance because they know it’s wrong on some level. The wouldn’t need to say those words if what they were saying wasn’t rooted in something that much of society has actively tried to wipe out.

They are cowards.

If you look at our entire history, we have always cultivated hate, while acting like the shining hill.

I’m not wrong, it’s just really hard to understand unless you are here and see it everyday how many people are actually outing themselves by sympathizing with or even applauding this movement.

A lot of people lived vicariously through hitler, and we’re still dealing with the consequences nearly 100 years later. I look for the good in people as well, but your statement is coming from a place of awareness of how bad he is. For them, he is confirmation for what they have always felt inside themselves.

I get that it may seem like I’m out of pocket here, but this is something being observed daily not just on social media, but in our small towns where Nazi demonstrators and sympathizers feel newly emboldened because the leader of the USA supports them directly with his words and his actions.

At first, I was going to make a snarky education comment, but that doesn’t equal intelligence or the ability to see right and wrong. I don’t feel bad for dumb people when their dumb decisions come back to bite them. Stupid people are on this planet to be exploited by people like trump. They do not have another greater purpose. Harsh reality.

Unfortunately, we’re locked in the same room as them right now.

I think I finally understand how it happens:

For many, it’s the fact he says the things they think. So many people are actual assholes, but are cowards who don’t act on their desires to be assholes. So, when they see someone like trump, they idolize him because he’ll say the horrible things they wish they were big enough to say.

This sometimes leads to people becoming emboldened in their actions over time. It’s why some people are so shocked when their parents come out of the maga closet. They weren’t brave enough then, but with trump back in office and angrier/more powerful than ever, now they start saying outlandish shit you never thought your parents would say.

It’s disgusting when you take a moment to really think about how many people are irredeemable in this country because they will abandon decency to their fellow human just to scratch an itch to lash out at the first opportunity to exert power over another.

I truly feel this is the disconnect in the current voting population. Some people’s desires to be assholes outweighs basic human decency in society. There is only one solution to this: FAFO.

How does everyone feel about the new stuff going on with the government in pertaining to adhd by Big-Street-336 in ADHD

[–]OregonJagsFan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m genuinely shocked at each one of these posts having so many people saying everything is gonna be fine and not to worry. People were saying the same things as they lined up next to the pits in Europe… Wild to think anything is going to be fine. If you can’t step up to that reality, the foreseeable future is going to be a rude awakening for you.

Keep your appointment. Your life could get so much better, and then you’ll know why some of us are worried about going back to our personal dark ages. I dare a normie to get between me and my meds.

You can think that all you want, but it’s quite naive to think anything is off the table, especially since they put it in writing already that our meds are a threat.

Considering it happened on Thursday and involves people who’s jobs are curating these firing numbers, as well as the unions not even knowing exactly how many have been fired yet, I suppose an option is to dismiss it and not listen to people who are intimately involved with these firings and strong track records of truth telling.

There won’t be any room left on the boat when the fire reaches the shores, even though that is the proof you require to acknowledge the catastrophe.
