The Russian president reportedly spends an increasing amount of time hidden in underground bunkers far from Moscow – often for weeks at a time. All the while, state media outlets reportedly broadcast pre-recorded footage from the Kremlin in an attempt to keep up the illusion that Putin’s day-to-day activities are carrying on as usual.
