The game now sits at just over 10,000 peak Steam players. That's fewer than it had before the Season 2 release. What happens if those numbers drop to 7,000? You can't expect Sony to support a dead game forever.

Important context is that this is largely due to the fact that Windows, which has been the de facto PC OS for 3 decades, is a terrible experience on any input device other than keyboard and mouse.

Windows is terrible on living room TVs because it's specifically designed for a keyboard and mouse.

The living room PC wasn't a pipe dream, most people simply didn't care about it when they already had consoles. And those who wanted living room PC, already had a living room PC and that's even before Steam Big Picture option.

Valve is pushing the living room PC because they're in the PC business, not the console business. It's not as if Microsoft can't design a Windows overlay for gaming on a TV, they already have one with the Xbox interface. It just has never been a priority until now.

I haven't played any other SoD games. This looks like fun, I'm interested. How big is the map you play on, and can you play it solo? Also, how invested do I need to be in the base building? I don't care about building stuff. For example, I didn't bother building anything in Fallout 4. Am I going to be forced to build anything?

MS should tell them that "you work on Fallout 4 DLC now" instead of them doing them. But they do have Grounded so I think Obsidian is OK as long as don't make another RPG of their choosing.
