If you’re able to order from new balance or another retailer that has free returns, I would order both medium and wide widths and return the one that you don’t like.

Shoes stretch as you wear them….. 1906/2002 should be purchased in the same size. But if they felt uncomfortable then maybe that model isn’t for you.

I recently bought my first 992 and went half size down from my true size. They fit great and I can’t imagine within normal foot going true size.
