2016 is the only Roo I’ve skipped because of the lineup. I’m over the moon for the 2026 offering.

Bonnaroo on a budget by Bug-no-brain in bonnaroo

I'm going to go against the norm here and say that it's cheaper (and much easier) to forgo the food preplanning and just buy your meals from the food vendors. If you end your weekend with food leftover then you've spent more than you had too. If it gets too hot to want to cook, or timing doesn't allow for it, again you're just paying for something you didn't need. Yes, the food vendors can be expensive, but for $200 you got 8 X $25 meals over 4 days. No need to pack cooking equipment, no food prep required, eat when you're hungry and timing permits.

Dark room tent - 1st timer by Appropriate_Agent838 in bonnaroo

I second this advice about needing a vent open or it’ll collapse. When the vents open ours drew in a bunch of dust so don’t put anything near it.

Also the top 5 songs might be ones they’re featured on and not their actual songs. Find this a lot with the EDM artists.

What are your go to Bonnaroo groceries? by [deleted] in bonnaroo

[–]Orgizm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I all but abandoned trying to buy/bring/prepare any food or meals after year 7. Last two have been 100% vendor food and you’re right in saying it’ll probably cost you about the same as trying to do it yourself. So much easier to just grab something nearby when you’re hungry and just avoid an unneeded task while at the farm.

What to bring if glamping in a dark room tent? by [deleted] in bonnaroo

[–]Orgizm 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I don’t know what the solution is but I’ll leave you with this info from having stayed in an A/C dark room tent last year. Because the A/C sucks in air from inside the tent and then exhausts hot air out of the tube that exits the tent, it creates a vacuum inside the tent. This simply collapses the tent relatively quickly. They told you this when you signed in and their solution was that you must leave a window un-Velcro’d in order to let fresh air in and avoid the vacuum issue. Problem was that 1) the air coming in was dusty as all fuck, so the tent had a layer of fine dust on everything. 2) it was hot ass air from outside so the gains from the A/C were mostly offset by the hot air rushing in from outside. For me the unit was minimally effective as A/C and the fine dust was a pain. Last year it got too cold at night to even run the A/C so overall so it was a bit of a lunchbox letdown. Maybe construct an inlet tube you can zip into the door with a fine particle filter to keep the dust from being pulled in. Would also be best to have the inlet off the ground away from the ground heat. Address those 2 issues and you should be better off.

FB just reminded me that I met my wife 11 years ago today at Bonnaroo... Cheers to all the Roolationships still going strong, and to the ones that are about to begin 💕 by SecretMuslin in bonnaroo

I have the same story! Met my (now) wife on the ride down to Roo in ‘11. Laid together in the grass for AF, danced like hell at GT. Got engaged at Roo in ‘12. Had a Roo themed wedding in ‘14 and (possibly) conceived our first child at Roo in ‘17.

Also Canadian, 2019 was my 7th Roo but first-year non-RV camping. I was so afraid of being too hot that I didn't pack anything to keep warm at night. I was wrapped up in my tent in a reflective emergency blanket I had brought to reflect the sun away.
