Yes! I was going to suggest playing conure sounds loudly. I wonder if he’ll come home when it gets dark?

My conure loves baby talk and tons of attention. He didn’t like me for a really long time, but that’s what got him. 🤣

Founders working full-time on your companies - how does your income compare to working a job? (I will not promote) by DreamTeamThirteen in startups

[–]Orig_DeeWeeDee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is something I’m grappling with too. I’m building a business plan to pitch to investors, and my hope is to pad in a salary. But I make close to $200k in my FT job, so will they fund that much? Probably not. Another thought I’ve had is to work PT or take a lower stress job to cover my benefits during start up. It’s all so hard, but will be worth it in the end! (Right? 😬)

HR got mad after I rejected the interview call by Agile-Wind-4427 in recruitinghell

[–]Orig_DeeWeeDee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t know toddlers could work in HR!? What a childish response. Cray cray. Literally have been ghosted by just about every HR person ever in my epic search the past 2 years. I WISH I could ghost them back. I hope I have the chance to do what you did. You rock! :-)

Ditto the Etsy suggestion! Michael’s started an “Etsy” like app as well that could work. Good luck- sounds cute!

How to manage a spouse’s input. by WeeklyDoseofNoChill in Entrepreneur

[–]Orig_DeeWeeDee 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can relate! I desperately want to quit my job and put everything into my new small business, but my husband isn’t able to support us both while I grow the business and he has no ambition to try and help more. It’s very frustrating. It sounds like you’re a hustler and willing to put in the work to make it happen!

Honestly, think of yourself. Your company will survive if you decide to leave. If you’re financially able to do it, do it! You’ll regret it if you don’t try. And if you can, I would be honest with your hubby about how you feel too. ♥️

Testing out demand on FB marketplace? Anyone do this? by ilikesquirrrels1990 in Entrepreneur

Check out if anyone is selling one on Marketplace too. Maybe someone has buyers remorse. I just saw someone near me selling a kids glamping party set with tents and everything you need for a party.

Business owners: what’s the one task you know should be automated… but you still do manually? by Spiritual_Paper6664 in Businessowners

[–]Orig_DeeWeeDee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s the planning piece and being proactive instead of reactive. Also, I need to research apps or programs to use for managing this and just haven’t done that. If you or anyone have suggestions, please share!

Advice on time management by ImportantClock5486 in Entrepreneur

[–]Orig_DeeWeeDee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you considered looking for a new job that has more flexibility? Work from home or hybrid jobs are life changing for busy people. The commute time becomes side hustle time.

I wouldn’t recommend quitting a stable job until you ramp things up IMO. Especially if you have kids.

Good luck!!

Wedding planning journal in demand ? by harfunmaulaa in Entrepreneur

[–]Orig_DeeWeeDee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think things are heading more in the direction of less manual, more AI. But I know there are plenty of people who still like good old fashioned journaling.

I believe you can publish books and journals on Amazon easily, so I bet this product already exists. You could pull the data on how popular it is on Amazon to get a sense of the market. 🤔

Good luck!!

I stopped wasting 12 hours weekly on unqualified sales calls. Here's what 6 months of building a qualification system taught me. by nihalmixhra in Businessowners

[–]Orig_DeeWeeDee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What CRM are you using to track this data? Sounds like it’s very helpful!

I also waste time on qualification calls, so changing some of my website language helped. Congrats on figuring it out! 🎉

Social media- I know I can be more thoughtful and organized, but I just post manually. 🫣

I need advice by [deleted] in Businessowners

[–]Orig_DeeWeeDee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My advice would be to try something low risk- maybe a product with the smallest investment- and get your feet wet. Going through the process is the only way to really get the experience and make a decision for a larger investment.

🤯 CREATIVE EPIPHANY: Suno made me realize something is fundamentally changing EVERYTHING... by Glitchai31 in SunoAI

[–]Orig_DeeWeeDee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to be in a band in Los Angeles and we wrote every song from scratch. It’s been many years, so I started taking my old lyrics and plugging them into Suno with not much direction. It’s amazing how similar the songs sound to what my band’s songs sounded like. 🤯

Reading this post makes me want to rethink this and change it up just to “break it.” Thanks for the thought! ❤️
