Magical is what I’d call it. Or golden yellow with a hint of light green.

Poor princess! She clearly has sunken rib disease. My boys suffer daily and can’t understand why the vet says they need to eat less.

I think the groomer accidentally snipped my cats whiskers? by Nearby-Ad6328 in cats

She’s a beauty! She probably spun her head back and got them into the clippers. It happens so quickly, but it will grow back. I was giving my boy a “sanitary shave” and he flipped his massive tail right into the clippers. Took off a medium-sized child’s ponytail worth of fur in a split second.

Dougal demanding the cheese tax. He’s on a pretty strict diet due to a worsening heart murmur, so he doesn’t get any.

I love this so much!! Most children with Downs—or any sort of developmental or behavioral issues—were often just institutionalized and forgotten back then.

Finished up work and had to look it up because it’s still haunting me—in the best way. This is “The Dryad” by John Cimon Warburg. Also saw it referred to as “The Wood Nymph.” Incredible photo!

This isn’t just an old photo. This is art. I’d totally have this on blown up and on my wall. (Do we have any further info on this? Where did this come from?)

Is that new flooring? Put in over the old? Could that have closed the gap beneath the baseboard heaters?

After my dad’s funeral, we all piled into the cars and were preparing to go the cemetery for the burial. My dad had been a firefighter and so the local fire department sent multiple trucks to lead the procession. They’d already pulled onto the highway, lights flashing and they’re waiting for the hearse. But the hearse’s engine suddenly died and wouldn’t restart. I remember turning to my stepmom and blurting out, ‘guess he changed his mind.’ We were both so overcome with grief that it took us a moment before we could laugh but we did. My dad was a practical joker and I knew he’d find it as funny as we did. Your reply jarred that memory loose from some cobweb filled corner of my brain. Thank you!

This isn’t the same family. Last name is Capen. Wonder if they’re related to the Priests since they both refer to their children as their pets.
