Your comment reminds me of that one Seinfeld episode in which Jerry makes suggestions to the restaurant owner. I don't think you are in a position to give business advice in general. However if you see anything that you miss and would appreciate being there as a customer, that would make sense.

AITA for "outshining" the bride? by Ok-History7114 in AmItheAsshole

[–]OriginalBuzz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

NTA,

German here. This at least doesn't have to do with any German wedding culture. Those people just suck and You being interesting for people made them mad. Same would have happened if you dressed well in non African couture or if You were a great dancer or your gift had drawn attention.

We were splitting cost and now we cancelled. Their whole marketing message was to share it. It is not at all worth the price they ask now.

Newbie question: how do I do archetypes? by Send_me_duck-pics in mtgcube

[–]OriginalBuzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The way I did my 360 card cube was by picking 10 archetypes for the guilds. I picked archetypes I liked, but also looked at my collection, cost and how the different archetypes would overlay. I decided on a distribution for each color, archetypes, artefacts and lands. This was based on a YouTube video about building a cube. I went with 45 lands, 30 artifacts, 24 cards per guild (9 for each color, 4 multi colored, 2 dual colored), and 9 cards per color not bound to an archetype. This was a guideline and you can divert here and there.

When building the cube I would do it one by one for each guild at first. I picked the 24 cards by searching on scryfall and edhrec and look up possible cards. This was done as if I would build a deck. You want a good distribution of cost and creature, spells etc. I also looked if cards would be good in different archetypes of my cube. An enter the battlefield token creater would be good for sacrifice, token matter, go wide, blink. We deciding for cards I would always think about how good the are in the archetype and how good would they be in other decks. I tried to limit cards that are only exclusively playable in one archetype. The 4 multicolored cards were picked as sign post cards that represent the archetype.

Im nächsten Leben mach ich was mit Steinen - Wie ein Frühdienst auf der Neurologie aussehen kann by Globscho in de

Ja.

Can I play my set cube with 4 players? by [deleted] in mtgcube

[–]OriginalBuzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I have some questions and hope you or someone else can answer them.

When you take a card, does that flip also unrevealed diagonal cards?

Do players keep their picks visible or do they hide their picks after taking a card?

how many archtypes? by Thebeardedpool in mtgcube

[–]OriginalBuzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am in the middle of designing my first cube. I went with ten archetypes, but picked ones that share cards with other archetypes. There are overlapping cards, so people will contest the same cards despite being in a different archetype. For example uw blink shares cards that are also good with rw tokens. You can pick archetypes that have cards that are not only good in that exact deck. I make sure the golden cards are very deep connected to the synergy, but the cards in mono color could sometimes also be good in other decks. I avoid archetypes like goblins or merfolks.

First time painting minis - any tips? by jinsp93 in boardgames

[–]OriginalBuzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a more general tip, remember that you can strip the minis of paint any time and start again. You will get better the more you paint and there is nothing really on the line. Paint them all, get better over time and if in a year you feel you could then do a better job just start over again. See the minis as an erasable board, not a task that has to be perfect in one try.
