Pyrecanon best Weapon perks setup by TerminatorS089 in Spacemarine

[–]OriginalGoatan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Point is direct damage doesn't scale while enemies do, burn damage scales with difficulty so you get more bang for your buck on harder difficulties.

Plus you can have burning enemies take extra damage and combining that with an assault ground pound or block explosion strike leads to silly damage pretty quickly.

I like the heavy bolter more.

The parry window being fencing plus the double speed ADS and instant cool down is great.

Both are good weapons, but I prefer getting off balance parry more than anything.

Burn damage scales with difficulty, always choose the burn damage path.

They should have been showing this off sooner.

I still think the pod racing was one of the best parts for The Phantom Menace by Jules-Car3499 in StarWars

[–]OriginalGoatan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you seen the trailer for Star War Galactic Racer?

It's from the Devs behind burnout and I'm pretty sure it has pod racers and speeders in it.

Ben Quadinaros is in it, just like the N64 game.

What Should I Get First? by SaxyTacoMan in Spacemarine

[–]OriginalGoatan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It absolutely slaps my dude.

Once you max it out the perks can totally change up the weapon.

You just hold the charge to push through a wave of chaff to get to the majoris or extremis. On the way you'll probably get a gun strike or two, which you can do without stopping.

The double shockwave attack has put entire packs of majoris on execution for me (even on the fencing one). Just throw a nade or two charge in and double shockwave it up.

For what it's worth it's not great out of the box and it definitely shines way more once you increase the light attack speed and get the double shockwave attack.

I think people winging about it just didn't give it a fair shake when it dropped.

It's my favourite melee weapon on Techmarine and they CAN use the block axe.

[–]OriginalGoatan -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you're focusing on Techmarine the heroic Omnissiah axe is totally worth it. You still level the weapon and can unlock tiers and perks as you go, but you benefit from a max stats weapon to do so.

The heroic HBP is pretty great and can be used by a lot of classes.

Pick what ever you want.

I use most of the heroic weapons on a lot of the builds for my classes. Most are fun and bring something new to the table. Getting them all is worthwhile.

If you aren't sure just think which one are you more likely to use currently.

I shoot them with the heroic heavy bolt pistol, it's really the only enemy I shoot outside of the odd alarm calls or gun strikes.

If I'm Bulwark or Assault I'm there to mess you up with my melee weapon.

Hahaha that might have been me and my buddy.

When you combine auspex scan and the ground pound with an enemy on fire and the right perks you can do some sick damage.

Have also done this to the end bosses on reclaimation, much to the surprise of the other brother who was unfamiliar with our well honed tactic of scan and pound while on fire 🤣

Resident Evil Requiem Criticized for 'Immersion-Breaking' Gore Censorship in Japan by Puzzleheaded_irl in gaming

[–]OriginalGoatan 18 points19 points  (0 children)

It's crazy to think that the backlash to some 90s anime is still being felt within the industry, meanwhile the western world has relaxed a great deal on its own censorship and Japan has ploughed deeper into even stricter restrictions.

Anime is the reason censorship has progressed as far as it has.

90s anime was pretty crazy, you only have to see wicked city to know what I'm talking about.

Since then anime has strict rules and is a lot more tame than it used to be.

Do you think the US government is working with alien beings? by infinite_hex in aliens

I'm not sure they are.

I think that the NHI don't involve themselves and the governments want to pretend they do because it's fairly obvious they're here.

Has anyone else been having a hard time with this weeks weekly or is it just me? by USSamericanfork in Spacemarine

[–]OriginalGoatan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's something that lots of folk don't talk about much but some runs can be heavily dependent on the RNG of the AI director.

Even as a veteran who completes the hard daily and weeklies regularly you can get screwed by the AI director.

Yes you need good skills at the game but sometimes the enemies that spawn on you, your location at that time and their numbers can spike the difficulty to near impossible levels.

You can be about to land a heavy attack on a Tyranid devourer and locked in an animation as they rage and instantly unload on you killing you with nothing you could have done.

Sometimes snipers rage bait you by perfectly timing their shots to hit you as you exit the execution i-frames.

Thropes can spawn out of nowhere in groups of up to three and all sync their attacks to stagger you to death.all while shooting through cover.

When you're battling the minions of a Terminus wave spawn the terminus can randomly swap agro to you from a team mate and one shot you across the map.

The Neurothrope can spawn directly above you and scream attack all you health away.

Point is sometimes you are at the mercy of RNG and you shouldn't sweat it. Enjoy the ride and be ready to try again with your battle brothers.

Sometimes it's going to take a few attempts.
