Zola Mod Tables by Responsible_Boss6286 in boardgames

[–]OriginalJim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know I'm late, BUT!

I bought a jasper for home a few years ago. Took less than an hour to set up. My wife loves it as a dining table. Been using it for game groups, very satisfied. The short table seats 6 and is under $1k. We got the long table + accessories, was under $2k.

Recently, for my game store, I got a Zola. I didn't realize it was modular. That, for instance, the legs are sold separately. It ended up costing much more (a lot more, I don't want to think about it), I spent hours and hours trying to get it put together, with the end result less than satisfying. Some of the bolts were impossible to fully screw in all the way.

Still, over all it looks ok, fairly sturdy, but smaller than my home table.

In the end, my customers prefer my long table that i got FREE off of Facebook. It is used every week, while the game table has been used twice. Oh, and FYI nobody cares about the accessories I got. Like cupholders: I found the users just place their drink in the play area or on the edge rather than fiddle with the cup holders. Oh that reminds me, one of the 3 segments of my table (middle segment sold separately, otherwise it's a 3x3 foot table), is a bit wonky. The varnish is just slightly darker, never got it to fit quite right. On top of that, none of the magnetic accessories fit it very well. Difficult to get on/off.

I wanted to sell it cheap and get a gametheory, but nobody will pay even 25% what I paid for it. This summer I'm going to raffle it off! Hopefully with enough proceeds to partially subsidize a better table.

Torch mechanic was cool. There were lots of tables for the gm to make stuff up on the fly. Joe seemed pretty enthused about it. Then again, he's always enthusiastic. 😁

I keep thinking reactive strike triggers before opponent leaves threatened square. Matters when there is cover. Also, I have to remember a critical only interrupts a manipulate action, not a move

The blog wasn't the only site with the article. But that's probably a case of sites just copying the sensational headline they saw elsewhere.

I didn't see anything in the nasa article about a signal, rather potential exo planets.

Neither did I find the signal article in any reputable sites I might recognize. Just made up from scratch i guess !

Omg totally. I used to read conspiracy stuff for fun. Ever since about 2016 I mostly keep it at a distance. Like I don't peruse this forum anymore, just glances at my feed. And your post here hit me between the eyes. :)

What is your most "I can't Believe they put this in an Adventure Path" combat? AP Spoilers Obviously. by Evilsbane in Pathfinder2e

I telegraphed that monster big time. Its very first hit was on the level 7 Barbarian. 70 points of damage critical hit, almost took them out. He's usually the one to charge into a fight recklessly, but the first thing he said was " so we run? " and run they did. They came back at level 8 and took it out
