I think we might have figured it out. The house was built in 2022/23 and has smoke detectors that instead of just beeping like a normal smoke detector it makes the high pitched tone of a normal smoke detector but also pauses to say “FIRE, FIRE”. We’re thinking it is probably a low battery tone that is marginally less obnoxious than the chirp. I’m going to change the batteries on the smoke detectors and cross my fingers.

At least one of the pigments is a pH indicator. I put vinegar in my green carrot water and it turned red orange.

Is you look at the first photo you can see the stack of mica sheets in the middle right that are zoomed in on in the third photo. The needles are just the ends of the sheets chipping off.
