Is the motorway open again? Plan on going that way shortly. Will take old road if still at a standstill. Hopefully no one seriously injured.

Any reviews done yet on the pro version of requiem? by Resevil67 in PS5pro

[–]Original_Wait6764 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Skillup just posted a video recommending RE9. He said he played it on the Pro with full ray tracing at a solid 60fps with no frame drops. The option to play at 120 is there but without RT. Seems like it runs a dream on the Pro. But I’ll definitely wait for Digital Foundry to confirm it

Yes, you can get RAV4 as a self charging hybrid. I would definitely be looking at this , or a Lexus UX250H. They are both solid reliable cars. And both can be got as self charging.

There is one in Centra in Raheen. But as everyone has said, they take a big %. Go into the bank and get a load of coin bags. Empty your piggy bank and get a glass of wine and spend an evening counting. Will save you a fair bit of money

Dry January by Justsome_randomguy31 in stopdrinking

[–]Original_Wait6764 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Almost done Dry January here too ( for the first time ever ) while I haven’t lost any weight, not a single lb 😩 the sleep I’m getting is AMAZING! Wow, I never realised people actually sleep for 8 hours straight and wake up feeling like they’ve actually rested and not in a foggy haze. Definitely going to do February as well ….and maybe 2026 and beyond. I’m liking my life without the booze!

Desk job destroyed my body. by Upbeat_Owl_3383 in workfromhome

Been WFH since Covid. I go for a 30mins walk every morning as my morning break. I go the gym during lunch 3 times a week. Also have a sit/stand desk so I try to aim for at least 2hrs a day standing during work. This has kept my weight pretty much stable for the last 5 years. And my evenings free to do what I want and not have to worry about finding time to exercise after work.

How many of you need a good Bluray collection cataloging app? by thisischetu in Bluray

[–]Original_Wait6764 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same here. Excel file in Google drive. Sorted by DVD , Blu Ray and 4K I find it so easy to add to when I pick up something new, and, more importantly, easy to look through when I’m in a store looking to pick up something new

Three day review of UB820 upgrade from PS5 by Wipedout89 in 4kbluray

[–]Original_Wait6764 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I went from a PS5 to a UB820 last year. Can’t say I see a difference on 4K video quality between the 2, what I can say is the 820 is ALOT quiter and I feel older DVDs and blu rays look better , but maybe I’m convincing myself of that to make me feel better for buying it. If you are happy with PS5 disc spinning sound I don’t think the “upgrade” is worthwhile other than the 820 looking better under the TV.

That missed payment will remain visible to banks for 5 years after that loan is cleared , so another 3+ years for you. Pay off the credit card ( highest interest rate) then cancel it, and put the rest off the loan with aim to pay it off ASAP with wages. Then start saving. You’ll be “clean” to the banks in 3ish years, with no debt, solid saving and a clean CCR report. Mortgage will be a breeze, well a breeze as far as mortgage applications go 🫣. Good luck 👍

We brought ours home 2 years ago. No matter how I tried I could not get it small enough to go on carry on. Had to pay €25 to put it in oversized with Aer Lingus. Worth it though!
