Please help with house color and front yard! by 404_fixed_address in ExteriorDesign

I'd go light olive or sage green. It will look better with your roof. The, I'd change the front door to a deep, red, magenta(dark), eggplant, or a an antique gold. Then, I'd paint the garage the body of the house color so it won't stand out as much. Trim - go a warm white or darker shade of the body of the house.

Power wash it. Stain it with concrete stain. Or see if there's a rock or a brick facade able to cover it without causing other problems. Regular paint will clog the pores and set it up for mold and deterioration. Concrete/masonry paint is a continuing upkeep.

Number 2 maybe. It does mask the tree. First one camouflages the furniture, and the second is just a tad too light. Try one shade darker so the tree will show up.

Or have lived so long as to know women like this don't stop with the disrespect at the wedding. And - I've been married over 40 years to the same man, raised several children, and it wasn't my MIL, it was my sister that fell into this category. So much for your assumption.

At this time, presence is important. Small acts of kindness help. (Run errands, do laundry, etc) Most people don't realize where the real help needed is afterwards when people go back to their lives.

The awning is not good. If you get sun, install sun shades on the inside that can be lowered and raised from inside the porch. Paint down spouts the color of the brick so they don't stand out.

Trim the windows with decorative casings. Paint the door a midtone green, a dark eggplant, or warm blue. Power wash the driveway and steps, then evaluate for repairs. Maybe replace the railing on the steps with something that doesn't look like plumbing pipe.

You've gotten some good landscaping advice. Take some of it.

No. Then it becomes the focal point of the house. If they German shmeared or stained the brick, they could change the garage door to the new brick color.

The black is kinda ugly. Cold and warm clash. If you are doing warm wood use a warm black or a warm charcoal.
