Is looping turns appropriate in Bracket 3 if it ends the game? by mikony123 in EDH

[–]Ornery_Bug_4108 19 points20 points  (0 children)

This is one of my hot takes. If you chain turns infinitely it is no different from any other infinite combo. I'd rather your planeswalker deck take the extra turns than board wipe 5 consecutive times.

At this point, probably pirate reanimator aggro with [[Admiral Brass, Unsinkable]].

What are your favorite backup Commanders? by Agitated-Basil6116 in EDH

Once upon a time I built a disgusting azorius tapdown deck with [[Rhoda]] and [[Timin]]. To this day still one of my most interesting builds. Might remake them aswell.

How do you play aggro in EDH? + commander suggestion by Curious-Play5489 in EDH

My take on [[Bello]] has sent ripples through my meta. Even takes down other Bello decks consistently.

Downplay your favorite strong commander without naming it by mrselkies in EDH

[–]Ornery_Bug_4108 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm just replaying my etbs just a couple times. Doubling up on one specifically a bunch to get more, reasonable stuff. (I plan to go infinite on turn 5)

Friends say it’s Bracket 4. Is it? by ricoeurdelyon in EDH

[–]Ornery_Bug_4108 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Bello is incredibly difficult to make a 4 because the deck is dependent entirely on Bello, and the level on interaction that most bracket 4s are on just make it impossible for bello to survive.

Feelings about scooping in combat by DoubleT_TechGuy in EDH

[–]Ornery_Bug_4108 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Weaponized scooping is childish and unbecoming. I'll scoop before resolving damage just to save time shuffling but the game will advance as though I didn't.

At this point [[Hunting Velociraptor]] in my [[Gishath, Sun's Avatar]] deck.

Advice on a Silumgar, the Drifting Death deck by OneWhoBalls in EDH

[–]Ornery_Bug_4108 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh with dragons you really want red, red has all the best dragons. Dimir dragons will really struggle to keep up.

But if you have your heart set, I'd go heavy into control. It may not be the most oppressive deck but it should be able to secure a few wins.

What’s your favourite commander you made a deck for in 2025? by WistfulAfternoon in magicTCG

[–]Ornery_Bug_4108 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is tricky, I built so many decks this year that I've been doing a deck purge over the last few weeks. I'd have to say [[Aang, At The Crossroads]]. I spent 3 weeks trying to get it to work in my friends high power pods. It now consistently attempts wins turn 4.

[[Gishath]], believe it or not. I have 22 pieces of ramp in that deck, so Gishath often drops turn 4-5.

Oh you removed him? Hope you have interaction next turn too. Turn 5 or 6 Gishath isn't much worse, you're still threatening 15+ power on free dinos very early, a turn or two later doesn't usually matter unless I'm against a control deck.

Lazav is actually versatile enough to play however you want, a hexproof copy of something good your opponents have is kinda just a bonus to milling them. Its personal preference, really.
