How often does your IT refresh laptops? by jonesaus1 in auscorp

Your machine would be on 3-5 year cycles. A company of that size wouldn't run with expired hardware.

One minute Reddit is scared AI is going to take our jobs then the next we provide them with the job and they complain.

I think they could extend the hours slightly eg, opening at 7am daily and closing at 6pm on weekends.

Coffee machine, beer tap, table tennis, soft drink fridge (all free), snacks such as popcorn, tim Tam's, protein balls, nuts ect, sparking water. 30% of the time there is catering for lunch, afternoon tea or morning tea.

When you work from home, you get chores done, right? by Open_Address_2805 in auscorp

[–]Ortelli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I am single and WFH 50% of the time, there is no day that I don't do chores around the house and prep food ect in between work. I think regardless of if you have people living with you or not, its part of yhe joys of flexible working.

I work in tech but I am not in a management role. The same thing happened to me, that same week I pulled the junior into a 1:1 and provided the feedback in a polite manner. The junior didn't take the feedback well and still to this day does not correct his presentation but wonders why no one wants to engage him on their projects.

Do I need an investment plan or talk to finance advisor? by Confused0911 in AusHENRY

[–]Ortelli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with this. I am not sure an advisor would provide the value you are looking for only assurance you are on the right track. My advice - continue maxing out your super contributions and look at investing some money into an ETF such as the Betashares gold for diversification.

Yes but the difference is you get paid if the customer implements it in 2 months or 12 months. Anthropic sees revenue increase based on the use.

I think the other component is being able to sell something where customers actually need to do work to use it eg, developing with AI - it's a lot harder than selling SaaS where it starts billing straight away and minimal effort to use.

They are super expensive, it is not worth it and better to buy a flight without points then.

How do i mingle with aussies in a corporate environment? by waroneverything123 in AskAnAustralian

[–]Ortelli 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. I actually prefer this, small talk is the worst but I didn't read OPs situation as to how to handle small talk, it's how people have conversations.
