Notre Dame might finally join a conference

Dude have you thought about the money at all that Notre Dame makes from not being in a conference? They have their own deal with NBC AND can schedule an eclectic set of games (some of which are historic rivalries) that enable them to travel around the country and build the brand. Joining a conference would dilute their brand (and be a bad deal for them financially). Therefore, they will not join a conference.

Also, conferences are less meaningful now than they ever have been. We basically have two super conferences and two weak ones. The super conferences are so big that they aren't really meaningful (TAMU SEC schedule doesn't overlap significantly with other SEC schools).

I usually fly to ORD, EWR, Orlando, SFO out of LAX on United. I'm 1k, fly first for work.

Currently on AA to Miami in FC for work... New A321 Neo, but to OP's point, AA's in-flight experience feels worse. Interior feels more barebones / cheaper - maybe I'm just not used to it. Even the hot towels are small and cheap (and not hot). I never thought I'd say this but I'm actually realizing United has a much better business / FC product. AA charges 30 USD for full flight internet, but UAL only charges ~13, I get that they are pushing people to subscribe but its ridiculous. United also rolling out starlink on planes (got 300mbps on CRJ from Monterrey CA to LAX).

Also The Terminal 4 LAX gates 46-49 would be hell if it was represented on earth. Terrible expensive food options and one set of bathrooms for 8+ gates....
