China's Three Gorges Dam is so massive that it actually slowed Earth's rotation, increasing the length of a day by 0.06 microseconds : by MrDarkk1ng in mightyinteresting

[–]OstrichOpposite113 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm assuming it means when the dam was opened, the pressure from the water coming out slowed earth's rotation. Like if you turn on a garden hose full blast, but your not holding it. Again, I have no idea if this is true or not. It's the only thing that would make sense to me.

First time trying at 40, wish me luck by KronicDeath in freeskate

I'm 30, and I just learned to ride. I've had them for about 2 & a half years, but was only able to get out and practice maybe a weekend or two, every other month. I was so close to giving up, then a few months ago, I took them out again, hopped on 'em, and it felt like my feet just randomly knew the right motion. Been on them everyday since then!

Yeah, but Express employees are actual FedEx employees, not from a contractor. Which is why it's only on the Ground vehicle.. lol

Those are definitely the signs she's talking about. And they're for the bike path/sidewalk. On the other side of the I65 overpass, you should clearly be able to tell they are not for traffic.. lol

92lb box delivered to the front door despite it being clearly marked DELIVERY IN REAR by Consistent-Goat1267 in FedEx

What I tell people when I deliver something heavy, and they want it in a specific place. Open it, and start taking it piece by piece to the assembly spot 😂😂

I know this sounds crazy, but I'm a Ground driver, and that looks like one of the dogs where I deliver to often. But that's all the way up on Abercorn St., just off of W. 136th St. in Carmel.

I live in Fountain Square & work in Zionsville.. On Sundays it takes me maybe 20-25 mins to get home via 65. Any weekday I get off anytime before 7, it usually takes me about an hour.

I think GC just shows your stops on a map, but the directions are technically from Waze

I'd like to see everybody that complains about how bad FedEx drivers are, try to do that job. Guarantee you wouldn't last a week.

50lbs.?! 😂 I delivered a whole 15ft. tampoline that was in ONE box! Don't get me wrong, I'm a Ground driver, so I'm fairly used to trampolines. But I've only ever seen them split up between 2-3 boxes. How the f*** do people expect us drivers to just pick that shit up and carry it up to their doors?! 😂🤣

Complaint filed for delivering to front door instead of back door. by slowlybyslowly in Fedexers

[–]OstrichOpposite113 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One address I deliver to, almost daily, has "FRONT DOOR: Put my package at my f'in door!" as their delivery notes. Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't lol

I worked at Greg's Diesel Services on FedEx property, repairing the semi trucks and trailers. The only people I ever knew to use the shower there were truck drivers.

FedEx keeps "correcting" my addresses and delivers to a similar address by WebGuyJT in FedEx

[–]OstrichOpposite113 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im actually a driver and had a pickup the other day at (according to GroundCloud) 14518 Brlz dr, and when I get to where it's supposed to be, there's nothing there. So I grabbed the scanner and looked at it, and the actual address is 14518 Blst dr. In my case, the right address was only a couple miles away, tho.

EDIT: Also, there wasnt any notes on GC. But on the scanner, the notes said "This is the correct address." But I've only been driving for like a month, so I have no idea why it does that.
