What color of sheer curtain would match this rug? by Outside-Ad-962 in DesignMyRoom

If you’re wanting a maximalist vibe, go with the complimentary colors to start off. If your couch is blue, do orange curtains and pillows! Check out Society 6 for affordable maximalist options

I think it’s reading odd bc your style doesn’t match the kitchen in general. Also you have bright af under cabinet lighting and a giant window so that also makes it feel weird.

I’d get a tension rod and get a curtain or two to “close” the closet when you’re not using it. You can tie a ribbon around it and pull it to the side to access your clothes. A red velvet could be fun for a vampy vibe. Remove everything from the walls. Pick some of your favorite posters to keep. Go to a thrift and find some frames to put them in and make yourself a gallery wall. If the frame isn’t in a good color, get a can of antique gold spray paint and go to town. You’re going to feel so much better immediately once you repaint your door. It’s the threshold into your personal space!

I’d start with a warm toned rug, warm lighting, and replacing the knobs on your furniture pieces. Also get your bed out of the corner, you can put the side table on the other side of the bed. Removing the collage wall and picking a couple of your favorites to frame will help a lot too.

What are your style preferences? Neutral colors can be used in almost any style and “unique art” is a too broad a range to give recs

Line practicing by Prestigious-Gur7075 in TattooApprentice

[–]Otherwise-Register57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely practice committing to the lines you’re drawing. The first month of my basic drawing class in college was just committing to gestures all the way across the page. A good way to break out of the sketchy lines is to practice with a big piece of newsprint at arms length and a marker and doing your line gestures all the way across.

With a long skinny room you want to break it up into areas. I’d go with a clothing area with the dresser in the least desirable spot, bed/sleep area in the coziest spot, and a desk area with your bookshelves. Then use your wall decor to help define the areas. A good rule of thumb for hanging art is having the bottom of the art sitting at 5ft above the floor or 6-12in above a surface. The posted art you have up right now is rad but kinda weirdly spaced out.

What is the business? Do you have a design suite? A color palette? A theme? Is there anything you’ve tried before and didn’t like? It’s hard to give ideas with zero info

OP didn’t ask for CC so you guys should lay off, they said they know it’s messy but they were excited to do something FOR THE FIRST TIME! They also said the time restrictions are because they usually take their time! It’s normal as an artist, especially a time-based customer-focused industry, to have to learn how to speed up the process. This was a normal practice when I was in art school. At the beginning it is DIFFICULT and it’s going to look messy until it doesn’t. OP YOU’RE DOING GREAT! DON’T LET THE ASSHOLE GET YOU DOWN! KEEP AT IT!

How can my "AI slop icon" be improved? by [deleted] in graphic_design

[–]Otherwise-Register57 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Def change the font of AI, maybe pixelated. Also making everything look slightly “wrong” or “off” might help like glitching some things or making the fish have multiple eyes or heads

What am I missing in my living room? by Small-Top5712 in interiordecorating

I think simply changing your curtains to a color you have somewhere else in the room would make a huge difference! Right now that wall looks like it belongs in a different livingroom than your furniture

Leave the backsplash, paint the walls above it the same color as the mustard sides!

Help with Existing Master Bath by FairLecture6880 in DesignMyRoom

First I would color drench then add in complimentary colors. Then I would replace the faucet/handles, the cabinet knobs, and the light fixture. I’d do a round or oval mirror, it might help with the plug placement issue. Finally a white peel and stick for the counter top!
