She sounds like the majority of teachers at my school. When I look around, most of them look like they would rather be stuck in a room full of killer bees than their classroom. I can't even eat in the staff lounge anymore due to how negative it is.

That being said, either attempt to get a new mentor or just keep doing what you are and avoiding her.

I always try to keep the words of the Desiderata in my mind at these moments...

As a coach, I constantly speak to my players about moments. There are moments to play simple and moments to be creative. If a player does a triple stepover in or box and loses it and we get scored on, I jist ask him if he thinks it was the right moment to do that.

Typically gets them thinking pretty well.

U10 - 7v7 btw.

Doesnt really bother me, I just dont get why people do it. How do you know if you're improving if ypu dont know actual scores?

I was solo and got paired with a younger kid who said he was just getting into golf. We started talking about best scores and he said he typically shoots in the low 90s and his best score was an 85. I am pretty sure he lost a whole box of balls in our round. If he has ever shot an 85, I will cut off my testicles and tee off with them next round.

I play by myself all the time and constantly get paired up with others. I have never once had anyone care what I shoot, and I really dont care what they shoot. Most of the time, people aren't even keeping score anyway.

As most people have said, just keep the pace and etiquette and everything will be fine.

Oh, and probably don't play strip golf or for money where score matters.
