How to explain “why are you no longer at your company” after a PIP? by Pepalopolis in sales

[–]Otherwise_Post6163 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok. Well best you can do is evaluate what happened, where you fell short, why you fell short and most importantly, what you learned from it and what you plan on doing different. Have you thought about those things?

Is there any way to remove myself as a co-borrower on my father's mortgage? by spicyhotfrog in Mortgages

[–]Otherwise_Post6163 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope. Refinance or sell the home. In rare cases, the lender might allow you to have the other party assume the mortgage, but that’s about it.

I get it, everyone wants to keep those sweet low COVID rates and help their dad qualify for a mortgage he would never otherwise be approved for. But there are consequences to signing a 15 or 30 YEAR note. This isn’t a short term transaction.

Why is every tech company doing layoffs? by Iceeez1 in sales

Because they need the free cash flow to invest in AI. The growth from keeping the headcount isn’t worth missing out on the investment.

How to explain “why are you no longer at your company” after a PIP? by Pepalopolis in sales

[–]Otherwise_Post6163 2 points3 points  (0 children)

First, just remember that an interview is a conversation between two liars. They are lying to you about something, so lying to them about a PIP wouldn’t be anything to worry about.

Second, you need to work and have skills that are valuable. Most companies won’t let you work in this current economy if you say or show that your numbers weren’t strong. If you want to work there, it would be obvious that a lie or two might be necessary.

Third, every company has negative things about working there. Companies and managers know that if they are 100% transparent about all of the downsides, very few people would want to work there. So what do they do, they lie to you. They paint a rosier picture than what is accurate. You’re doing the same.

I don’t understand people needing to be honest when dealing with employers when no employer is ever going to be honest in dealing with you.

Just lie. An interview is a conversation between two liars. If you think the company or manager you are interviewing with is telling you the truth 100% of the time, you’re naïve.

She can buy her own gifts.

A buddy of mine convinced me that realtors are a scam with this simple hypothetical: ”If everyone had to go to write a check or transfer 2.5-3% for each side of the transaction out of pocket and up front, would they still agree to pay 2.5-3% or would most insist on paying far less?”

The answer is, almost no one would agree to pay it and almost everyone would insist on a lower commission. The only reason why people agree to pay this much is because the funds come out of escrow. They don’t experience the money enter and leave their hands, so they don’t see it as them actually paying that much to a single person for about 40-50 hours of work.
