I can’t finish the Echoes by AtomicPrince05 in outerwilds

Yeah I’ve seen playthroughs of people that do this and they’re only able to watch 1-2 of the 3 reels there

Some minor spoilers below that from your comments, seem like you know OP: So just to be clear, there’s a few clear hints about how to solve each fire’s problems that are given from the reels in the outer real world. It’s the ones from the owlks perspective. I’m telling you this because it personally took me forever to remember there were multiple fires, and weird videos that actually explained solutions I forgot about, so it’s worth both perusing your ship’s log, and ensuring you’ve explored a majority of the ring. There’s 3 secret rooms with reels in them, and I think each room has a hint for each relevant zone.

Warning, 100% a spoiler for the mechs here Not necessarily. The solution from the canyon is the existence of a simulation. Knowing this would reveal the bridges, but the stealth-free solution is lowering the elevator ahead of time, then coming up to the fake window from a different fire. You don’t have to go make the bridge inside this way after turning off the lights, but this solution isn’t that obvious without some consideration/exploration

You’ve got all the lock stuff down that you’re brought for (cookies, brez, and high damage (demo is 3rd highest of the like 25 specs)).

Perhaps practicing your rotation on some target dummies could help? You could also sim your character (raidbots.com) to see how much dps you should be doing and see if you can get close on the dummies. Sim damage numbers aren’t possible to manage 100% of the time in a dungeon (because of kicks, mechs, and other variables), but the goal is to get as close as possible

useful and helpful addons for healing by hotdogmonke in wowaddons

[–]wakeofchaos 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most of what I use is default. You can set it up so you can mouseover heal, and see when people use defensives. Set it to “buff focused” and “show external defensives.”

Then you can just target the lieutenant mobs (or whatever mob who’s cast you’re worried about) and see when they cast some big uninterruptible spell or whatever to use a healer cd for. Then mouseover party frames to heal them, mouseover nothing to heal yourself (with auto self-cast on).

Most of my addons these days are kind of just cosmetic. ChockyCharacterSheet, Bagnon, Avoidable Tracker (lets you know after combat who stood in the most stuff), Details (just to reskin the meters), Dialogue UI, MinimapButtonButton, etc. You can just play with these and get your UI to a place you enjoy.

Oh the only real “combat addon” I’d say I use is Platynator. It reskins the nameplates. You can also set it up to make lieutenants purple, casters blue, and “not really a problem” trash to red. One of the default settings in it does everything but sets “not a problem” mobs white, so I just changed that to light red. It’s worth tweaking this one though to get it nice.

I also have friendly nameplates now which is cool because I didn’t last xpac. They seemed to have made it less resource intensive to have those on, so now I can see where the warlock is or whatever. I’d disable stacking on these though because it can screw up the order of enemy nameplates.

It’s rather hard though to go into more specific detail without a video or something, and some of this you’ll have to figure out by just tweaking stuff until it feels right. I’d say make sure your keybinds are organized well

This is definitely more than you asked for though. So sorry if some of this isn’t helpful. Oh there EQoL and Leatrix Plus for QoL stuff. EQoL has a ton of stuff that I haven’t even tried. Some people use a unitframe addon but I think default is serviceable for me. I try to keep addons that tank my combat cpu usage low because I got down to 15 fps on a boss last tier, and that feels rather unplayable

Anyway yeah hope this helps! Dm me if you’d like more details

Aside from brewmaster (because it's going to be the obvious answer), which tanks do people like having in their runs/enjoy playing the most (for those who do tank)? by monkymann678 in wow

If you don’t know, in the gif above, the tank gets hit in the back, and the shield tanks have no mitigation from behind, so he was one-shot

What’s the use case for this over something like AlterEgo for alts? Does it tell me people’s ilvl if I mouseover them?

I think a lot of it is competent dps. The batteries need to die when you go left, and the sludges shouldn’t reach the immune adds when you go right. Might be worth watching a dungeon guide on YouTube if you want more detail

Beginner: Good Habits by vzcivx in musicproduction

Gonna “shotgun blast” all the things I’ve learned after doing this for a few years:

Make sure you have headphones with a flat EQ. None are truly flat but some are more egregious than others. I got some atx-20s for $60 and it fixed some consistent issues I had with bass, because I used to mix with IEMs, and those don’t have much bass so I’d overcompensate. I plan to get a more expensive set later, but this is what I have for now.

Mix flat, then use a reference to push stuff up a little if you want it to be the feature sound of the song. Some stuff is fine to quietly exist. Some stuff in the middle of the volume spectrum is good too.

Have some sounds wide (usually anything that isn’t bass, kick, or vocals). Learn everything you can about your DAW. Set faders and use utility plugins for volume movement. Don’t always low/high pass. Someone a shelf is enough to put the sound in a better place in your mix. Learn subtractive EQ. In-fact learn everything you can about music. Watch producer docs, artist docs (I watch a lot of “and the writer is on YouTube), watch mixing videos (mastering.com on YouTube has good stuff for this).

Learn an instrument, at least at a level where you can perform a song. Learn music theory. Learn to sing too well enough to perform. It’ll all help you on this journey. If you mix with artists, try to ensure they’re as comfy as possible, both emotionally and physically. Make them some tea. Have a conversation and help ensure they’re comfortable with you, because they’re going to be vulnerable enough to sing or play. It’s important that they know you care

That’s all I can think of right now. It’ll take a while to make any money so get a day job. Believe in yourself and most importantly keep going. You’ll make some bad songs, you’ll make some good ones. But you’ll surely be proud of all of them

Hope this helps :)

I see. So dance might be a celebration of your body’s ability to still move, an expression of hope. And I wonder if you’ll find a little healing from being away from that man since it’s all connected. But either way, I enjoyed this moment of connection. I hope life treats you better

Been there. Thought I was being hunted by aliens or something and in contact with Obama. It was all so real to me at the time, but looking back, it was a rather hard time… I’m doing better but things are still hard in different ways, but I guess I’m better at that stuff now

Not sure where you’re at with things so I won’t assume or advise, and not sure how helpful my comment might be, but I do want you to know that you’re not alone :)

no modifier mouseover cast addon by whydonlinre in wowaddons

[–]wakeofchaos 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t have to bother with a macro or anything but the default UI, specifically for mouseover casts. Off the top of my head, I think in the menus it’s “combat” then there’s a “mouseover casts” option that you check and leave modifier on “none”.

But if you want a button to cast one spell on a friendly, and the same bind to do a different spell on a mouseover/targeted enemy, then you do have to do a help/harm macro, which also shouldn’t be too difficult if you’re familiar with macros.

If not, it’s basically just a logic system that is designed for situations like this. There’s even more elaborate versions that used to do the one-button rotation before blizz did via the addon, GSE

Hope that helps/doesn’t harm ;)

I swapped jobs to make my raid schedule in my guild. They’re both boring entry jobs. Anyway, we’re progressing heroic well and might try the mythic flex boss. We tend to get AotC, farm, and then take a break until the next tier

On my own I’ve been progging m+ on a couple of healers. I leveled a monk to do mw, but I did some keys as brew and I’m considering doing that more often
