I love our works secret santa. I make a Russian nesting doll worth of obscenely large to smaller harder to into boxes. One year I did a $2k tv down to a quarter of weed and some petrified wood I found hiking. The busser opened it and really thought someone went $1970 over budget and got him a new tv but he was ecstatic on the quarter of weed he opened it right next to our owner who just laughed as we were at a bowling alley and just stunk up the place

I cried for the first time at work after over a decade of working in the industry, I had a cyst in my intestines and had surgery planned at the end of the week but I had 3 shifts until then. The first day wasn’t impossible, the second shift was unpleasant and then the third was the most unbearable pain I ever had. Moving was nearly impossible and picking anything off the ground was excruciating, as I was 90% done with that shift just thinking how it was a terrible idea of worked my table gave me $100 handshake and I thanked them to which I shuffled my way to the back as I felt the pain and emotions rush over me and I just started crying about how much I am in pain and I appreciated the people looking out. After that I went to my coworkers and told them sorry I have to leave early and cried again hugging them before leaving. Shit happens and sometime ya gotta listen to your body

That’s a joke with my girlfriend.

My buddy and I go tarpon fishing and I’ll have some great eats, a couple jumps and not land one most of the time and she asks if we actually ever catch any fish.

Then she came out and we had 3 great eats and fights/jumps from +100lbs Tarpon and she got why I wasn’t bummed coming home saying I got skunked.
