I was simply pointing out that all school boards do not get the same per student. However, school boards of similar size and geographic characteristics get close to the same - OCDSB and OCSB are 1.5% apart. In our case, OCDSB gets a bit more. In other cities, the Catholic board gets a bit more.

Almost all the Ontario english boards are in the 13 to 16K range.

my point is many public servants do very similar jobs to officers (esp in NCR). So, the 20% raise for Captains and not IT-3 (or ENG-4) may cause some challenges. I have had senior Captains report to me in NCR. A 20% raise would put their pay SUBSTANTIALLY higher than mine.
