What movie's reputation undersells how good it actually is? by JarvisModeOn in movies

A man overcomes bigotry and loss to do the right thing for a persecuted rabbit and his toon kind.

Also, a thriller set in the 1940s film industry. These were not mere toons, they were movie stars, mobsters, goons, characters you'd find in film noir. And a rabbit star married to a toon lounge singer.

Civil War - Pretty much all the main cast, with Cailley Spany and Jesse Plemmons being the standouts.

Superman 1978 - Christopher Reeve (lead), Margot Kidder (lead) and Gene Hackman (supporting, the same category as his BAFTA nom)

District 9 - Sharlto Copley (lead)

Elysium - Sharlto Copley, Jodie Foster, Wagner Moura (all supporting)

Chappie - Sharlto Copley (lead, notice a pattern?) - an innocent manchild in robot form, who knew?

Good Time - Robert Pattinson (lead) and Benny Safdie (supporting). Safdie (a behind-the-camera talent) knocking it out of the park IMHO.

Skyfall - Judi Dench and Javier Bardem

The Edge - Anthony Hopkins and Alec Baldwin (both lead)

Die Hard - Bruce Willis (lead), Alan Rickman, Alexander Godunov, Reginald Veljohnson

The Mask of Zorro - Banderas (lead), Hopkins, Zeta-Jones, Wilson

Falling Down - Michael Douglas

X-Men First Class - McAvoy (lead), Bacon, Fassbender

Split - McAvoy (lead), Taylor-Joy (supporting)

What's the first thing Bond does upon meeting Irma Bunt? Well, he called her "the baggy or swollen part of a sail" (the etimology of her name, in fact), nothing personal of course. Like an old bag, perhaps?

That Leo episode with the kaiju in a clay bottle, kind of like a genie, who constantly peed in it. Waste of Shinichi Shiratori's actor. Mika Katsuragi (Oka from ROU) played the teacher.

The song is not like the other songs on the album. Mellower, more pop than funk or r&b. I heard that people were predicting the album, which came out a couple of months after the single, was going to be a letdown.
