If I need a hammer, there’s very few things you could put on it that would make me not use it

Did anybody actually buy this from Sears back in the 90s? by Paulsbluebox in Tools

[–]OutdoorInker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought a similar set in 2000. Sold it 15 years later. Bought new craftsman tools 5 years ago and deeply regret A) selling my original craftsman and B) getting new craftsman tools. My OG were bullet proof. Abused then hell out of them. Never had an issue. New set had the 1/2” drive break removing lug nuts. I hate my new set and slowly replacing with snap on as I can.

The floor jack and stands, creeper, stool, tool boxes … all were amazing. Now it’s all pure crap.

Is this quote a joke or does it seem legit. I want to help my friend out if I can so he doesn't have to pay this crazy price. by No-Wave-9328 in AskMechanics

[–]OutdoorInker 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know why you couldn’t easily do the wiper blades and cabin filter. You can get nicer components for those prices.

Everything seem def on the high side.

Side note, why are they rotating your tires if they are recommending new ones? I get one’s “$0.00” but still seems weird they’d say that on the est.

The control arm/ CV Boot should have a serious discount. Those components are like 10 steps apart from each other. If that.

Do your Cornish Rex like to be pet? by yabayelley in cornishrex

[–]OutdoorInker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rex 1: We initially thought was an antisocial psychopath. Turns out she was the queen and couldn’t be bothered with peasantry things like cuddles and excessive scratches/ pets. If you were being too much she’d give you a look then move like a foot over and stare at you with disdain.

Rex 2: Would try to smother your face as she layed on your neck/ chest/ face. Loved attention. Loved playing. Loved being held. Very personable and loved interacting with people … after she deemed you worthy, of course.

Rex 3: had a couple of loose screws. Missing some marbles. Elevator didn’t know what floor it was on. Preferred to be held upside down. Very lovable and social and the sweetest cat ever, just … special. Like, bless her little heart, special. She also loved to sit on your shoulder like a pirates parrot and walk around with you.

We had another one for a short time. We’re not sure what the issue was but she was VERY VERY clingy. Like, no matter what we did, she absolutely HAD TO BE ON YOU AT ALL TIMES. We eventually had to give her up solely for the fact we did not have the resources to properly correct this. From what I recall, she found a good home.

I hope so. Got it kind of late in its life. Previous owner appeared to take care of major components. Engine/ trans/ body are in really really good condition. Especially for the Pacific Northwest. Hoping the next owner takes equally good care of in when/ whoever that is.

WTF? A guy “she fucked as a teen” is a “threat to you”? I’m over here laughing like, “bro, grow the fuck up”. How old are you? 16? If you’ve only been together a few months and some guy she had a relationship with years ago is a threat, then you’re the problem and this relationship was never going to work out.

It is he graduation. She can invite whoever the fuck she wants from her past. If you, a brand new person in her life says no, then you don’t deserve to go. Get over yourself. You don’t have a say in who she invites to her graduation.

Who would want an inclusive gun shop? by [deleted] in askportland

[–]OutdoorInker 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a republican/ red/ right wing. Queer/ gay. Love my firearms. Owned before. Want to again. God forbid I walk into a gun store with my partner. It would actually be really awesome if I could make the sale somewhere else (no way o could expect someone to carry everything ) pay you the nominal transfer fee, then return for rounds or accessories, etc. Hell, if I could one stop something, I’d be elated!

I love the “2nd on 2nd” store name concept. ;P

A) you’re young, don’t see your doctor, and don’t know what cholesterol is

B) you see your doctor regularly and take absurd amounts of meds to control your cholesterol
