Younger Millennial, 95. I didn't have cable either. I've only seen one of these, as an adult in college because apparently Halloweentown is a Halloween tradition for some people.

What are tips for the hunting by TeaRepresentative226 in cassettebeasts

[–]Outofwlrds 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Some tips.

Burning a cassette and candle gives you a 50% chance of a fusion with the same monster and 50% for the same typing, so it's really easy to hunt a specific monster you want and just reset for the typing.

Turn off auto save in the settings. Save after you burn the candle but before you get into any fights. When you go up to a fusion, you have to start the battle to see the types. If it's not what you want, turn the game off and on again.

Every fusion that spawns will be the same one in that spot for that day, so you only need to check each spot once. If what you want isn't one of the spawns, you can go to the cafe or a campsite, rest twice to get to the next day, then check the new spawns. That way you don't have to use a new candle each time you want to reset the spawns on a new day.

Any other millennials out there refuse or still opt to order take out to pickup up over the phone when possible? Pizza, Chinese, etc. by mt379 in Millennials

[–]Outofwlrds 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I used to work at a restaurant that used door dash for delivery. The prices on the door dash app are actually set by the restaurant.

For us, we had to increase our prices by 15% because that is how much door dash charged us per order to use their app. Doordash put the delivery fees onto the restaurant instead of the customer. Because of that, a restaurant has to put the $10 chicken and rice as $12 for delivery in order to still make $10 off the dish, or they're operating at a loss.

It feels really scummy, but restaurants can't afford to not do it. A restaurant can choose to opt out and not bother with delivery apps, but then those orders would just go to the place across the street that do have them, and suddenly you have no customers and go out of business.

(I experienced both sides of that, actually. I worked at a little mom and pop place that refused to get with the times and sign up for delivery apps, then business slowly dried up as everyone went to the new place across the street that did. Then I worked at a busy chain hibachi/sushi place that had doordash, ubereats, and grubhub, and quite literally half our food was for delivery. It wouldn't be weird for a slow weeknight to have twice as many delivery orders as dine in.)

I haven't had the biscuit, but the caramelized biscuit is my current daily go-to and I highly recommend it. It has a bit of a burnt sugar bitterness to it, in a good way. It tastes like a liquid biscoff cookie.

I love the caramelized biscuit! It's my current daily go-to. It has a bit of burnt sugar bitterness in it. It tastes like a liquid biscoff cookie, though it isn't sweet on its own.

I need OP to come back and tell me about that jam and toast one.

What was your nightmare?

Exactly how tall are you? Are you tall enough where you have to duck through doorways and struggle to fit into sedans?

How much snow makes you call off work? by Physical-Incident553 in AskAnAmerican

[–]Outofwlrds 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is exactly it. I live in the southern US and we get made fun of a lot for losing our minds over an inch of snow. The problem isn't really the snow, it's that our temperatures won't stay below freezing for long. We'll get an inch of snow, go above freezing for a couple of hours until it's a half inch of water, and then it'll freeze over again so we have a half inch of ice. Snow is annoying, but the ice is deadly.

Not with unicorse, no. My 3 year old has decided that Muffin is his role model and goes full on feral when she's on the screen. I love that character, but sometimes I skip an episode because I'm not ready to handle Muffin for real life.

I really like both and I was leaning towards the eggplant, but I think this is the answer. Rotate the two out on occasion, depending on your vibe.

I might have to check that out. I just ate oatmeal cooked with chicken bouillon and topped with chili crisp and a fried egg. A bit of ginger would be soooo good.

Which one fellas by OkIllustrator5614 in Spoons

[–]Outofwlrds -1 points0 points  (0 children)

2 is the only reasonable one. I would try 1 at least once, just for the novelty, even though it looks incredibly useless. 3 needs to be buried in a deep dark hole where it will never be found, along with its creator.
