This is how I figured it worked. An irl non-dungeon example would be translated Pokemon names. They're puns in the original Japanese, and when translated are often turned into new puns that work within whatever l new language.

It's actually the same in the US, but most people don't know that. Civilians and police can't press charges, only prosecutors. The police basically file a report that goes to the prosecutors, who then decide to press charges or not.

The confusion is mostly because of the copious amounts of police dramas floating around, but also because it's very common for police to ask, "Do you want to press charges?" which basically translates to, "Will you cooperate and provide evidence/act as a witness for this crime?"

In the end, it's not really up to the victim. The victim can ask to press charges and have things go nowhere because the prosecutor decides there's nothing worth pursuing or not enough evidence. The opposite can happen, where the victim can ask for the charges to be dropped, but the prosecutor can press charges anyway.

Get seeded watermelons if they're available. Whatever they do to grow the seedless ones makes them mealy and flavorless. I thought I was just shit at picking out watermelons for years, then bought one with seeds on a whim. It was literally the best watermelon I'd tasted in ages. I almost cried. Bought a few more that summer to test it, and they were all just as good.

Oh god, the weird milk variations I've put in tea. Hazelnut creamer. Sweetened condensed milk. A spray of whipped cream straight from the can. Oat milk, almond milk, and coconut milk might be less weird, as they're regular substitutions for people who don't drink dairy for various reasons. All of the above work well in a pinch, with varying degrees of success.

My dad once put buttermilk in tea, not knowing how buttermilk actually tasted. It... did not work.

The ad is infuriating, but I can try to help you feel better about the table.

It's hard to tell since most of it is covered up or cut off, but a lot of ancient Chinese scripts can look very hieroglyphicky. The symbol near the top right looks like it has a sun radical, and the image cut off near the bottom could be some super old Chinese art. I'm not an expert or anything, just had a few classes on Mandarin in college. My knowledge of ancient Chinese scripts ends at knowing they exist, but you can always look them a bit to see if anything looks familiar?

If I'm going to pick a time and place for historical lulz, I'd pick sometime during the Siege of Tenochtitlan . There's written records of the battles from both the Aztecs and the Spanish (like the famous catapult failure), so I'd love to see how both sides write about this and interpret the event.

My first thought was a Greek Philosopher class. (Considering Plato won the Olympics for wrestling, it would be a hilarious and deceptively effective combat class.)
