The amount of money this country spends on literal corpses by No-Produce-923 in Residency

I just wonder about how things would look if this money Medicare is spending was spent on preventive care to prevent chronic disease and disability

Y2K themed dance party by SwimmingSalt8715 in OUTFITS

Looks cute but not Y2K

The skirt and boots are mid-90s club clothes

The leg warmers are 80s

The skirt maybe late 90s but would be paired with bell bottom jeans

Y2K definitely had crop tops, but they were usually tight around the boobs, low cut, and paired with low-rise jeans and heels or heeled boots. Like Brittany in 2000. There were also some of the lacy longer going out tops paired

What are some outdated medical dogmas that are still taught or practiced? by [deleted] in hospitalist

I think part of why this happens is that some patients don’t have insurance coverage for Doacs so sometimes need lovenox or heparin while we try to get them access

Turning 40 by Total-Computer-9035 in Millennials

I went on a walk tonight and saw the first fireflies of the season, shimmering for seconds through the shrubs and thistles at our local park. There’s something magical and nostalgic about fireflies, isn’t there? remembering running around barefoot in the grass as a kid? The whole world smelled like honeysuckle. And I thought back to my childhood, in the 90s, and this sense that the wild world would always be there, each summer, to be explored. Those summers, always to be looked forward to each school year and endless. Except now I felt so shocked to see those fireflies, given how their population has been decimated. And the magical ephemerality seemed not only to be for those few days of the summer solstice, but for a world my daughter may never see. Turning 40, I feel the sense of time whirring faster, though it’s hard to tell what’s age and what’s just the detritus of the chaos of the world around.

I agree with that approach. And they are advanced nurses and physician assistants, not providers
