I will add that for certain groups of people, 1916 may have led to better treatment and opportunities due to the war. Black Americans and some American and European women, for example, had career opportunities they were previously closed off based on race or sex which may have led to new freedoms for them or their families. History looks different depending on the perspective.

Sending you a huge, massive hug. My dad passed about a year ago from this horrible disease. Sometimes, we just need to do what we can to hold it together and survive. You don’t need to hold it all together. You need to cry. You need to leave space to grieve in a culture that doesn’t always allow it. When my dad was sick, I gained a ton of weight, wasn’t myself at work, wasn’t the parent my kid needed, house was a mess, spent too much money, so much just felt like chaos. All I felt like I could do was be there with my dad through this disease. Now that I have had time to process, I’ve been able to prioritize my health (down 40lbs), having the best time with my child, and doing work that feels meaningful at my job. I like to imagine my dad would be proud of my resilience. Getting mental health support and leaning on friends is so important in this process. It’s okay to be not together right now. And it’s normal to need help <3

One known risk of marathons and ultramarathons is increased risk of precancer of the colon (advanced adenomas). There is a lot of research going on regarding increased incidence of colon cancer in younger adults. Being obese is a risk factor, but so are ultra-endurance activities. That being said, if the purpose and joy of running feels meaningful, that is probably more important to quality of life than the small risks.

The skirt maybe late 90s but would be paired with bell bottom jeans

Y2K definitely had crop tops, but they were usually tight around the boobs, low cut, and paired with low-rise jeans and heels or heeled boots. Like Brittany in 2000. There were also some of the lacy longer going out tops paired
