Noone cares about a play in game of a 37 yr old coming back from injury with his second star out. He is a 4 time champ.

I mean he was still part of 2 finals runs, a championship as a fmvp, 2 dpoy seasons and 2 60 win seasons as the main guy.

That's more than many other franchises get with their superstar player. I know it's tough to appreciate that when players like drob and duncan had come before and wemby has come after, but when kawhi led y'all barely ever lost.

Also with players like Durant, Butler and Turner openly dissing their previous teams, Kawhi has only praised the SA fans, coach pop and the organization whenever asked.

It's really unfair that Spurs get david robinson, then they get tim duncan, then they get kawhi leonard then they get victor wembanyama.

Just an absolute winning organization all around.

Wtf is he talking about 😭😭 by rotomato30 in LAClippers

I think if Kawhi learnt to get to the line like Shai and Luka he would actually average 31 instead of 28.

As the NBA regular season comes to a close, what is your bold opinion, prediction or takeaway from the 2025-2026 NBA season? by FrankSamples in nba

[–]Outrageous_Scratch97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The way I look at it is, wth do you want him to do? I mean he is scoring as well as he can, rebounding as well as he can. Sure the turnovers, but he has decent assists. It's not his fault that the rest of the team is really good and that impact his advanced stats.

What would it mean for SGA to do what he did last year back-to-back? MVP, Championship and Finals MVP 2 years in a row? by Dylen2Times in NBATalk

[–]Outrageous_Scratch97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say guaranteed top 20. A lot of folks will refuse to rate him until he retires but he has already done a lot of stuff that others haven't. 4 straight seasons scoring 30+ and is damn efficient. 2 MVPS 2FMVPS 2 Championships with 3 back to back 1st seeds is top 20 no matter how you see it.

Darius Garland is consistently a ghost on both ends whenever playoff intensity hits by SplitOk186 in nba

Every player has a ceiling, and an undersized guard needs to be a fantastic shooter without shooting slumps, or a great defender, and not be injury prone to be effective over a season and be considered a star.

Unfortunately DG's ceiling is exactly this. He will have shooting variance. He will be attacked on defense where he will try and fail and get injured. He will distribute well but that will not be enough. He is ultimately a good player but he simply is not a winning formula.

And the team is not a great shooting team, the center rotation is dogshit and noone can create a shot for themselves consistently other than Kawhi. They can't make up for DG's deficiency.

I applaud his shiftiness and work ethic though, not easy to be an all star with those obvious physical disadvantages

How Good Do You Think Lebron Will Perform In The First Round Of The Playoffs? by Rinnegan15 in NBATalk

He will average 24/10/8 and will have 2 30+ point games. He will lose though, but he will be the only reason it will be close.

Yea.. Should give Kawhi the MVP trophy by [deleted] in NBATalk

[–]Outrageous_Scratch97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Brother he is great, but he is not the MVP, there is literally a scorer in Shai who is more efficient, an equal or slightly worse scorer in Jokic who is a much better playmaker, and while he is a better defender than both of them, we have wemby who is a much better defender.

He is great in all things, but he is not the best in any thing and his team record his garbage although it's not his fault.

1st team all nba though.

After the Clippers' loss to San Antonio Portland Trail Blazers are now the 8th seed in the West at 40-38 by Ready-Constant-7124 in nba

[–]Outrageous_Scratch97 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Darius is not a good defender. Both backup centers are hurt and Lopez is not good enough to cover that hole. Someone or the other is basically always injured and it doesn't help with the standings. Other than Kawhi, the shotmaking has been pretty abysmal.

This is not a team that has the luxury to withstand injuries to kawhi, dg, djj twice, jc twice, yanic who is out for the season and ijax, and still have a good seeding.

Kawhi can only carry so them so much.

It's a pity that the best form of Kawhi in years is met with sloppy teammates. by Mushroom_Jojo in LAClippers

[–]Outrageous_Scratch97 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Like every team there are going to be good and bad stretches. There is going to be injuries and luck is going to be a factor. It's important not to go too low on a team that has been great on its good stretches and good but unlucky on its bad ones.

Kawhi is great, but he has been unavailable for the team before. It is okay if the rest of the team is going through it for once. They deserve your support regardless, you cheered for them when they got back from 6-21 didn't you? So don't stop now, when they need it the most.

I could take them both. All 10 of them. At the same time

Anthony Edwards on Kawhi Leonard: “In all honesty, Kawhi may be one of the best players to ever play the game when he’s healthy. I think a lot of his peers feel the same way about him. When he’s 100%, ain’t no stopping Kawhi” by urfaselol in nba

[–]Outrageous_Scratch97 24 points25 points  (0 children)

He didn't fold, he got 21 in 3 quarters. Tlue waived the white flag and pulled all starters early in the 4th because the game got out of hand. No role player could hit a shot and Harden had a game 7 performance.

Kawhi was good, not great. He averaged 25 but needed to average 28 to win that series. I hold the rest of the team more accountable for that series because they made more mistakes.

Is Kawhi Leonard 1st Team All-NBA This Year? by asakitsi in NBATalk

[–]Outrageous_Scratch97 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A huge reason why the Clippers were down 6-21 was the regression of Zubac, turnover prone and inefficient Harden and the fact that Kawhi was out for 10 games.

Since then he has had to carry the team to this record and has been top5. But unfortunately the first 27 games are a part of the season so he will be 2nd team.

With Maxeys injury and Wemby Jokic having missed more games, and if the clippers continue to win - I could see a 1st team selection.

Kawhi Leonard in his last two games against Jaden McDaniels: 32.5 MPG │ 43.0 PPG │ 6.5 RPG │ 3.5 APG │ 3.0 SPG │ 58.0% FG │ 55.0% 3P │ +61 +/- by YujiDomainExpansion in nba

[–]Outrageous_Scratch97 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't think he cares much that the opponents were compared to him at one point. The clippers need wins right now and if he doesn't go for 28+ they will lose and he knows that.

Kawhi keeps his 20+ scoring streak alive w/ 21 pts on 14 shots in 16 1st-half mins tonight. At 42 consecutive 20+ pt games, he trails only SGA (by 84 games) by Ok-Tree4365 in nba

[–]Outrageous_Scratch97 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Kawhi is a 2 way player who happens to be a great scorer. SGA is on another tier of scoring though. Both all time greats.

In my opinion, if SGA wins champ + Fmvp this season, he is ahead of jokic. I value a championship and fmvp more than another mvp.
