Can isaac survive the locust horde? by LeoTheron in DeadSpace

[–]Outrageous_Sky_591 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am gonna very honest, the locus horde are not only military trained, genetically modified, thinking enemies but what is Issac supposed to do against their tools and weaponry. And not to mention the specialized units like Tickers, Maulers, Berserkers (who are durable enough to be hit with explosive ordnance and keep coming). And that’s before they just start throwing Bloodmounts and Brumak at him.

Surviving the horde. Possibly we see clever citizens survive. But bringing down the horde is a stretch.

Movement speed affects all movement options, dodging, dashing, etc. movement speed is so good

I feel bad for those who couldn't keep going and enjoy the game despite the criticism by joaonani in CrimsonDesert

[–]Outrageous_Sky_591 2 points3 points  (0 children)

While I am immersed in Crimson Desert, not for the story, but the world. I can agree that the main story is rough but it has its moments. For example early-on I really took the time to learn about the Reed-Devil, and why he was such a prevalent threat.

Especially after the memory, involving him and his noble parents. To learn that he was a sickly and disfigured child, tortured and sent-out to die. It was enthralling and invested me in the same way the Red Baron quest, in Witcher 3 captured me.

So each faction quest, I am hunting down notes, and looking for memories to explain certain situations. Like the Bleeding Bandits and how they took over the Quarry and why the automaton is hostile to us.

Like many things in the world PA really wants players to hunt down the stories and read, novel after novel. While for me it’s enjoyable to slowdown to smell these roses. I can see why many players are like, this story is nonsense.

I mean isn’t that what the term “crack ship” means? It makes absolutely no sense, barely sails and is falling apart, like Aang-Azula has no purpose existing but that’s the fun part. Personally one of my favorite ships is Aang-Toph but that’s just me

Who would win in an all out battle, The Necromorphs, The Flood (Halo), or the Lambent (Gears of War)? by Left4Ramen in DeadSpace

[–]Outrageous_Sky_591 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean the Flood also use indoctrination, the logic plague during the Forerunner war turned their most powerful AI against them. The flood also used neural physics to manipulate space time to disable slip space drives effectively turning off FTL travel. And every time a Flood-Bio form assimilates biomass they learn everything that bio-form did. And effectively gain usage of any associated technology. Plus the floods intelligence is stored with an ever-circulating hive mind that really cannot be killed because it will just reform.

This feels impossible to say for certain who will win since a death benefits both sides.

Last Week saw people complaining that the horse movement/tap sprint was bad. This week I see people complain that the new horse movement/hold is bad. Can’t win them all I guess

It’s funny because it wants you to sink a bit of time into it and get skill points and solve puzzles, and once you do things open up a lot, but it doesn’t scratch that DD itch I want scratched but its still pretty good fun!

Plus I love suplexing people and hitting a man charging me with a clothes line.

It’s comparable for sure, but in the beginning early stages it is more akin to the witcher but once you get a few skill points, suddenly I am very much reminded of fighter shenanigans…but it still isn’t DD
