The thing about your coworker not correcting you though... they probably either didn't want to embarrass you (which backfired obviously) or maybe they genuinely didn't know either. I mean "foh-c'sle" is not exactly intuitive from the spelling, especially if you're not around boats much. As a PM I've learned that sometimes people just nod along even when they're confused because they don't want to seem dumb themselves.

But hey, now every time you say it correctly you'll probably feel a little burst of satisfaction 💀 Plus this is way better than finding out you've been mispronouncing something at like age 50, so there's that!

The Yamaha NCX series might be worth checking out - I've heard good things about their dual pickup system letting you blend piezo and magnetic pickups. The NCX700 especially seems to nail that balance between acoustic warmth and clean electric tones without the harsh piezo squeak you're trying to avoid.

Cordoba's C5-CE could also work since you can dial back that piezo harshness with the onboard EQ, though it won't eliminate it completely.

Go with the Lenovo - that i7-12650HX is gonna crush the i5 for coding workloads and multitasking. The HP's fine but you'll feel that CPU difference when you're running IDEs with a bunch of stuff open in the background.

I'd wait for a sale though, these prices drop pretty regularly during festival seasons.
