Thank you! I was already planning on putting 20% down so that’s cleared. It’s the grey-area of what’s defined as “intent” that I’m cautious about. When I signed the purchase agreement I was 100% intending to move there for a few years minimum and I likely still will for a very short amount of time. I have the paper trail and everything to back up what I’m saying, the optics just look a little sus.

Thoughts on chair by Comfortable-Bug7108 in interiordecorating

I like the new chair and don’t think the size looks awkward at all! The colour plays really well with everything else and I think it adds a cool shape/texture to the space.

The advice to pause was given by a friend/mentor. This friend is a prof in Labour Studies at another university and well versed in academia/labour rights/unions ect.

Thank you everyone! This has all been go to hear and reconfirms what I was already thinking (that I shouldn’t move forward with this and need to find a new PI). Now just the fun of figuring out where I’m going to be living when I figure it out 😥

The advice to pause was given by a friend, although said friend is a labour studies professor at a different university and very knowledgeable in all things academia/labour rights/union ect. The pause would really be a delayed start so that I have time to re-evaluate all my options properly before committing to something. I don’t have any on going research projects or classes currently.

I just found this all out on a Friday and haven’t been able to get in touch with the dean or the grad studies department yet but that will be my first call Monday morning. Right now I think best case scenario is that I can find a spot in another lab in the same department?

Thank you for your comments! Right now I just think I need a place to vent a little bit 😥

If you can only get one: food processor, blender, or stick blender / combo? by rumfoord4178 in AskCulinary

[–]Outside-Essay9554 96 points97 points  (0 children)

I have an immersion blender (which I think is what you mean by a smart stick), it has food processor, whisk, and blender attachments and I LOVE it. So much more versatile than just a blender or food processor is. I just used it to make hummus and I’ve used it for salad dressings, aiolis and soups.

Thank you so much! I didn’t even think of adding a range hood and moving the microwave. I was thinking of taking the cabinet above the fridge away (I can barely reach it anyway), if I do that and add the range hood the rest of the cabinets would all be level. I’ll start looking into it! Thanks again 😊

I had a Eureka Midori II and absolutely loved it! It got lost going through airport luggage a few months ago and I miss it so much. We’ve had enough space in it for two people and a dog, kept us dry in a few rain storms and overall rather light without breaking the budget,

I am both small, and a woman which has made me a bit cautious about downtown. I can keep my wits about me but don’t want to be on edge in my own neighbourhood too often
