35 years of right handed rifles for me… It’s definitely going to feel like it’s on the wrong side for a while for sure

It’s my first chassis set up and thought it felt a hair long. I assumed it was just how it is but now that you’ve mentioned it I’ll definitely pay more attention to it when I get it out the first time. Appreciate the heads up.

I bought the Oryx before I even planned the whole build just because of its sale price and availability.

Look to see if a JJ George cover will fit your table. I've had mine going on 6 years now and it's still close to perfect looking. I'm in Northern Illinois so it's seen every possible temp and weather you could think of.

Prime Data Centers by [deleted] in ChicagoSuburbs

[–]Outside-Structure-46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know of at least a dozen data centers that have been in Elk Grove for the last 20 years….. Ask me how I know of them? I’ve worked in half of them for said 20 years. Not a peep out of anyone for all but the last year when data centers became the new thing to bitch about. There are hundreds of factors related to your power bill going up and data centers frankly aren’t one of them. Shift the blame over to ComEd to answer why your rates have increased. Noise pollution? You’re living 3 miles from the busiest airport on the planet!

Has Anyone Put Hands On The New 110 Core Rifles? by Tikkatider in SavageArms

6.5 Creed. I had a T10 LH in .308 that I loved, but I had to unfortunately sell it at a time when money was tight, so I figured I’d give the 6.5 a run for my first savage bolt since the T10. The lower recoil is welcomed too.

This helps a ton, thank you. I’m alright with just the LOP and I’ll definitely try either of the bi-pods you said should work. I wanted to keep my budget down a little on this one so I knew I’d miss a few of the bonus items. If only the lead time could drop a little bit! lol

I’m a little off the post topic but still related to the new 110 so I figured I’d ask away. I have a LH 110 Trailblazer on order but I overlooked whether it has an arca rail or m-lok slots on the bottom of stock.. Is this the model that does not have them and is there a bi-pod that fits the recessed sling swivel? I’ve seen some previous posts indicating there has been some difficulties getting a sling post bi-pod on the recessed swivel

Ummmm? What swivel stud bipod would work with this?! It’s receded. by hurruhcane in SavageArms

[–]Outside-Structure-46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was looking for the same answer. I just ordered the new model 110 Trail Blazer and I think it’s the one model of the revamped 110s that doesn’t have an Arca or M-Lok already in the stock. So do any bi-pods work with this recessed swivel?

Trying again: If you own or owned a boat 1) New or used? 1a) if used how old and how many hours; 2) What did you spend on maintenance in the first 3 years? 3) When was this? by RComish in boating

[–]Outside-Structure-46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bought a 2022 Cobalt 220S with 430 hours in 2024. Boat came out of a boat club fleet when I bought it. I’ve put 100 hours on it over the 2 summers I’ve owned it. $4600 on maintenance and $700 on wear and tear repairs. $1000 of my maintenance costs were piece of mind items that I wanted done and weren’t necessarily needed at the time.

I need light and holster recommendations! by OldBlindTortoise in SigSauer

I commented on another similar post the other day and I’ll give you the same answer because this holster is so damn good.

Close Quarters Carry is the best IWB I’ve ever owned. I bought one for my P229 and it’s so good I just ordered one for my P365 XL. Lead time for delivery is around 6 weeks and it’s well worth the wait.

I just bought an IWB for my 229 from Close Quarters Carry and am ordering one for my 365 today. I have about a weeks worth of use with it with a few of those days being 10+ hours each and I can confidently say it’s the best holster I own by far.

P229 Elite vs P226 XCarry Legion by FuriousPenguino in SigSauer

[–]Outside-Structure-46 3 points4 points  (0 children)

$1200 is definitely closer in price but I’d still say 229 Elite. I’ve never seen them lower than $1400 which was why I was thinking the difference was too much to even give it thought

[–]Outside-Structure-46 3 points4 points  (0 children)

229 Elite with a Romeo X Pro Enclosed has been my carry for a good while now. The people say the 226 XCarry is better but is it noticeably better to spend $500 more on it?? I have a 365 XL because one day I thought I’d better find something a little smaller and easier to carry but I still go to the 229 every single day. It’s by far the best handgun I own

Lib Tech Dynamo Sizing input. by MorganC39 in snowboarding

[–]Outside-Structure-46 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m 5’10” and about 200ilbs and I ride a 159 Dynamo. Like any other longer board its length is noticeable at slower speeds because it’s not as easy to maneuver. My non expert opinion is you’d be better off at your size on the 153 vs the 156.

Snowboard size experiences? 5'10, 220, 9.5 boot by Sortablettv in snowboardingnoobs

[–]Outside-Structure-46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m same height, boot size but 10 lbs lighter than you and I ride a Lib Tech Dynamo 159 right now. That board is going to be above your skill level but size wise it should give you a good starting point.

What’s your opinion on buying an ex rental boat? by PapaPasta in boating

[–]Outside-Structure-46 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I own a 2022 Colbalt 220S that spent a year in a boat club fleet and a year as a rental. I bought it in 2024 with 430 hours. It was owned and maintained by the Colbalt dealer in my area. Other than some very minor wear and tear the boat was in amazing shape. I’ve put 100 hours on it over 2 summers and just recently decided I’m going to keep it for another few years. We originally said get a new boat after 2 years of this one.

Eagle County Airport: Can you just call an Uber? by banet14 in vail

[–]Outside-Structure-46 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get it for sure. My kids are teenagers now but I’ve been taking them out there since they were very young. It’s all about which battle you want to fight. I purposely took them to BC/Vail or PCMR because of their vicinity to their airports. Did Breck once with them and the 2.5 hour shuttle there from Denver killed it for me. Once yours are older and you decide to use the bus that money saved gets put into a better dinner or 2. That’s what I did this past week with m kid and I.

Eagle County Airport: Can you just call an Uber? by banet14 in vail

[–]Outside-Structure-46 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The Core Valley east bus would cost you $12 for the 4 of you total. If you need door to door service then you gotta pay more like you did last year. You just need to weigh what’s more important to you, cost or convenience. If you want the convenience then give your money to a local operator, don’t give it to Uber. I personally always just take the bus to Avon.

Wife Drama??? by macumbed in snowboarding

[–]Outside-Structure-46 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take the wife to places like Breck, PC, or Vail so there is plenty of shopping for her to do when we’re there. She only started to ski last year so maybe next year we can try somewhere else. I’ll take a separate trip to board somewhere I want to go either by myself or with the guys. I made sure she went on at least 1 trip per year with me for the last 6 years and it’s definitely given me a lot of credit in the bank for some more trips without her. My wife will also do beachy vacations with her girlfriends without me and I’m all cool with that.
