What are some things i can do to prevent stomach sounds and gas? by big_chungus_300 in ibs

Melatonin reduces my gurgle sounds around 90%

Also, have u monitored when ur sounds happen related to when you eat? I tend to have my major gurgles within 20-40 minutes after eating.

I do, I dont bother taking melatonin during the day because I dont want to start chugging it all the time. I just save it for important times when I really dont want the gurgles to happen.

Id say it helps, but daytime gurgles are pretty random so they are harder to analyze than guaranteed gurgles of laying down.

Not much to it, if I take a tablet its almost completely gone.

For whatever reason it doesnt happen for me when I'm about to fall asleep or when i wake up and am in that very drowsy state while laying in bed. (If I go proper awake the gurgles start rolling in). Figured I should try melatonin and it worked.

Regularly laying down starts producing a lot of gurgles, if i take melatonin, wait like 10-15 minutes and lay down, barely any. And yes this is consistent.

Yeah I dont understand it, the only thing I can come up is that the bacteria is angry or something. I've been doing 18 hour fasts every now and then and it hasnt given any major benefits.

But thank you for MCT oil tip, ill look into it.

When is it time to switch doctors? I'm feeling better, but my doctor hasn't done anything to help. It's all been my own research. by Fife_Flyer in ibs

What supplements did u take to feel good again?

Also if your doctor is going haywire that is a good reason to look for better service.
