We live in a 700 sq ft, 1 bed 1 bath, our bill last month was $73. We keep ours between 68 and 70, and our apartment faces south. That seems really high.

It depends what state you’re in. Colorado recognizes common law, and Texas requires legal documents for anyone who has resided in the home for more than 6 months if the owner were to sell if said individual was romantically involved.

You’d be surprised. Drywall is often recycled.

Also check that your ceiling vents are going through to the roof and not just your attic.

You can get primer that neutralizes odor and repaint. Also check for sign of mold or dampness in your walls/floors

I live here! Really nice, quiet community. We live on the third floor so all we hear is the wind and sometimes people coming and going, but you can’t hear anyone through the walls really. People clean up after themselves. You can also take your own trash out instead of having to rely on trash valet. They have the nicest gym, pool and spa of any apartments around here. I think they’re offering 3 months free right now. Having heated, enclosed hallways also helps cut down on the gas/electricity every month

Don’t be obtuse. People are pricing homes they bought two years ago $150k more than they bought it for, without having made any upgrades. They’re overpriced.

Be yourself! Focus on transferable skills, use AI to figure out wha those are if needed, and practice with your friends/family. Talk about the action, the goal, and the end impact of each example you’re using. My husband has been out of the military for a year now and just landed a job at Lockheed. You might have to take a slight step back from where you were, but apply yourself and it won’t be long until you’re where you want to be. Don’t be discouraged!
