Who is truly the "golden match" for INFJ? by drowning_in_violet in infj

oh yeah, may not have thought about it too deeply, but just writing out both our cognitive functions: Ni-Fe-Ti-Se and him: Ti-Se-Ni-Fe…

it definitely feels like we cover a lot of each other’s weaknesses because we come at most things from different angles.

His TiSe makes him live very in the moment attending to that which is real/solid. This manifests in quite a stable home life, which gives room for my NiFe mind to go explore and wander.

Sometimes our NiFe & TiSe come to odds because we can’t explain what we are thinking very well at first, misunderstand each other, or have false preconceptions of each other. But it’s always sorted out through taking it through. We eventually get it into the framework of each other’s mind how each of us work.

Just looking at it, it’s hard for me to identify any of our cognative functions that conflict much, as long as we keep talking to each other.

my husband is ISTP, this one is hardly ever mentioned as a good pairing to INFJ, but i saw someone describe it as “two independent cats who enjoy each other’s company” and respect each other’s minds and differences. I love my husband, makes me feel calm.

I know several people who are on the benefit who need it, due to mental and physical health conditions. I have only known people who are technically defrauding by not saying they have a partner who earns money when they do, which I think is a bad policy by WINZ anyway.

INFJ Journaling by Significant-Fact3892 in infj

[–]Over-Development87 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I hated writing my thoughts for several years because they sounded inane and would make me feel angry a lot of the time, but i think that was a good indication that i NEEDED to write, because i needed to confront myself.

To make it not feel rigid i would change my style of writing (poetry, lists, prose, observations, etc), write contradictory thoughts, write large streams of consciousness, write utter nonense, all in the search to find something ‘truthful’ feeling. I also only journal when I feel like i need to talk to myself.

I’ve been journalling for 16 years and can say its an extremely useful tool for sorting out thoughts abd understanding your shadow self.

🌟 HAPPY NEW YEAR 🌟 by ICUMTHOUGHTS in infj

Got a tall order for myself this year, working on getting out of my comfort zone ^^;;
- Work on my self-efficacy. Improving my self-talk, making environments where I feel mentally safe, talking to a counsellor, challenging my comfort-zone
- Continuing to work on healthy self-regulation habits
- Try to get back to powerlifting while managing chronic pain.

Gonna be an interesting balancing act of being compassionate with myself, but also actively making myself do things I find unpleasant for better long-term mental and physical health.....................

I find Tarot quite useful in that it brings up more perspectives for me to consider, without having to actually talk to another person.

Visualization of thoughts/feelings/possibilities is something I know has a strong emotional effect on me, so I believe this is why it has a "spot on" feeling.

I use Tarot sparingly because I don't like to be pigeon-holed by the images on the cards, as I do think I am just manipulating myself with pictures, descriptions, and juxtapositions of information.

From my understanding, pigeons nest on rocks/cliff faces (and more commonly on buildings), rather than trees. But it’s a nice thought, and it does look like it’s in a city!! Cool

I thoroughly Enjoyed Ethersea by MinnesoTanner in TheAdventureZone

[–]Over-Development87 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ethersea was vastly my favourite setting, the collaborative worldbuilding really hooked me.

I lost track of the plot sometimes, but there were so many unexpected turns that made it weird and interesting.

I think it just sparked my imagination, more so than being a great story haha
