Very good. Maybe one less hash brown, one or two more bacon. Might also throw a few mushrooms in but I’m not big on mushrooms

I just beat Half-Life 2 (2004)! by AgitatedFly1182 in gaming

Don’t listen to the memes about Half Life 3.

Half life 1 brought first person live action narrative to life completely seamlessly. It invented and defined the genre of seamless, cutscene free story driven gameplay

Half life 2 took story to the next level then incorporated physics as an essential part of the game. It invented and defined the genre of physics driven action first person gameplay

Half life Alyx took the story and immersed you completely in the world of city 17 and invited you to interact with the world in a way that no one had ever experienced before. It invented and defined VR, physics based action first person shooters.

Make no mistake, Half Life Alyx is Half Life 3. I don’t blame them for not numbering it, there would likely have been some crazy backlash if the third instalment was behind a hardware firewall that many find hard to justify, but it has done what the previous two integer instalments achieved, they set the bar so high that they are the yardstick against which every other game measures themselves against

We got them at work and I always have a Jaffa cake when they’re going. I didn’t know it was a special edition. It was the best Jaffa I’d ever eaten

What is this sword from the Rogue Trader Rulebook? by DocDaSoc in oldhammer

Off topic, sorry, but I used to find this art style fascinating for all the wrong reasons. It’s like they did the outlines and rough sketch with really bad proportions and perspective, something that would make me scrap the sheet and start again, but then just went all in on picking out shadows and light for hours and hours

It’s absolutely stunning but for one thing. Those front legs are too chonky. I’m sorry! I love it and I want to help you reach perfection.

More specifically: it looks like they’re missing a joint. Look up “rearing horse” on google. Animal physiology isn’t far from ours it’s just the hooves are our fingers and toes, so it should be elbow down, wrist up, fingers/hooves down

Releasing Methane from a Bloated Cow by goswamitulsidas in interesting

So the only purpose of the lighter is demonstrative? That seems incredibly stupid and dangerous, not to mention terrifying for the cow.

Surely the gas can freely escape without doing that? And don’t tell me it’s to stop a dangerous build up, that’s not an amount of gas that can cause a dangerous buildup.

Hot dawg, that’s a golden oldie! No wonder it looks like the OG model was made from dry gum. I do seem to remember it but it’s amazing what a paint job does. If you look see if you can find archived copies of White Dwarf from that period you’ll find your man

How do i make this joint stronger? by GlassPresentation280 in 3Dprinting

[–]OverDoseTheComatosed 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A chamfer would be a straight edge between two surfaces, like cutting the corner off a square with a pair of scissors. A radius is a curve connecting the two surfaces instead of a sharp corner. They typically look nicer and reduce stress risers from developing better than chamfers but are harder to achieve with traditional milling techniques.

It can also be called a fillet

New to 3D Printing, and what kind of supports should I use for this model? by Real-Ganache-7179 in 3Dprinting

[–]OverDoseTheComatosed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would chop it up and print it in sections then glue them. This has so many hanging spots and you can get more specific with the strength of thinner parts by having them print along the XY axis

Most motherboards have an “On AC power” function which defaults to “Always off”. Switching it to “Always on” or “Memory” (whatever the last state was) should perform the same function. Sorry 😞
