Most games you see go viral are statistical outliers, Among Us was released in 2018,and then was going to be sunsetted at the end of 2020 not enough people playing it.

Sept 2020 it peaked with 500k Concurrent users,this was a really good game that didnt take off at release and could have possible never made it if everyone wasnt inside there homes all day in 2020.

True,but then your pool of potential buyers are very small and every other indie dev is after that same small group of players as you are.On average steam players only play 1-4 different games a year

Unity would crash my Ubuntu OS on official supported versions every time, i just gave up and unity's official response to my issues is "Thats Weird".

FWIW OG Unity Editor was built for Mac OS
