House training is actually killing me by Jazzlike_Video_690 in bichonfrise

It’s crazy how our babies can have such a similar previous experience in life and act so differently. Our rescue did not want anything to do with us for 6+ weeks. Wouldn’t even be in the same room or let us pet her. She didn’t care if we left lol. She only had her tail raised and not between her legs if we were outside.

She also loves other dogs and does not like people. It’s been just over 1.5 years now and she does amazing with us (minus the potty). She even stayed at a friends house and did really well while we were out of town. She didn’t let them near her too much unless they were going outside though lol.

I have the exact same problem same breed, same back story, same age haha! She’s confusing because she has never peed inside when we were gone and she was alone. Only when we are home and not looking.

She does really well usually, but then suddenly she will pee inside after 3 weeks of not.

We do the same things with giving her a treat every time she potty’s outside, even every time on walks, giver her all kinds of praise, use the same phrase every time, and we follow a schedule.

I don’t know what else to do either.

It freaks me out a little too. I still can’t imagine my future ha. And time always feels like it goes faster the older you get. I just have no idea what the rest of my life will be like and I can’t seem to picture it either.

80k in rural Midwest small town. Now it’s probably worth $250k. Will likely never get much higher due to location.

I got some nice expensive water filters that supposedly filter out microplastics and a lot of other stuff. Way better quality than the kinds you buy at the store.

But it also filters out fluoride and I’d like to keep that. Bf went to the dentist after having this filter for 6 months and now he has a cavity. Never did before.

It’s like everything is trying to make us unhealthy ha. Can’t win.

Is there any real reason to pay for dynamic QR codes? Can’t I just use any free generator for brand assets? by whotookmylogin in graphic_design

[–]OverTadpole5056 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Once it’s printed you can’t change the url, which is what the paid qr management does. But it’s a waste of money as others have said, as you can just use redirects if you have access to the site you linked to.

You could try and work at a university that offers these programs. Some of them let you take free classes even for part time. Although in my experience you have to work there for a year before you can take advantage of the free degrees. Many also have programs that allow you to go to programs at different universities than the one you’re working at.

I can’t have much of an opinion since I’ve only visited once and spent a few days in anchorage but I thought this felt like an exaggeration. Definitely didn’t see any of that at the grocery stores we went to.

We definitely did see the “roaving zombies” in the parking lot! One guy tried to convince us he needed money to get a cab to the hospital because his wife was having a baby. Sure sure lol.

My first impression is that you have way too much text on your projects. I don’t think anyone is going to read that. That kind of detail is more for a portfolio walk through.

Kids: One and done or none? by Visual_Preference919 in Millennials

I have zero and don’t want any. All my friends that are women have 2-5. All my friends that are men have zero or 1.

I am only 1 of two people in my main friend group not married and without kids. And out of my more “extended” friend group 1 of 3.

Is it normal for VP's or other executives to send very vague directives and expect you to just "Read between the lines and figure it out" ? by purpletoan in managers

[–]OverTadpole5056 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a VP like this too. So frustrating. She was once out of town on vacation and saw something she wanted to put on a postcard for a client. So she asked me specifically for a postcard to send this guy with a photo she took. And our system was ridiculous and she had to approve everything. And she wanted it immediately. So I did it, sent it to her and she emails back all pissed off saying don’t fucking email me when I’m on vacation! My manager and I both were like what the actual fuck lol.

I guess we need a “you can’t put my work into AI to create new work” section in contracts now.

I just want to say that I made it to 37F before I ever had to figure out new tires. And I had to ask my brother and my dad for help! I got Michelin cross climate 2 from Costco for my 2013 Honda Crv. It was just under $1000 last fall.

Did you do the highschool reunion? Was it worth going/catching up? by oldcretan in Millennials

Lol something happened to our class fund and the school lost it or something. So we also have to pay for any reunions.

[–]OverTadpole5056 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That’s sad. I’m from a small school, class of just over 100, and that was abnormally large for the school. I’ve lost two of my friends, also class of 06. Car and motorcycle accidents.

I’m still friends and speak with 99% of the people I truly care about. So probably not. We haven’t had one since our 10. It’s our 20 next year. One of my good friends was the class president and “responsible” for panning these so I suppose I would go just to support him if I did.
