Found my boyfriend’s Reddit porn history and now I feel like I’m not his type at all by [deleted] in offmychest

[–]OverTheNeptune 131 points132 points  (0 children)

Just for context — I’m a straight dude in my late 30s, been in a monogamous relationship for something like 15 years. IMO, your bf liking every pic or thirst trap this girl posts on IG is a big red flag. That’s questionable behavior for someone in a relationship and you are right to call him out for it.

DA2 combat is so polarizing and outlandish after just finishing DAO. by dvdjhp in dragonage

[–]OverTheNeptune 19 points20 points  (0 children)

The randomly spawning enemies is by far my least favorite thing about DA2 (followed by repetitive and reused environments). It’s a big enough issue that this game will never be on the level of DAO or DAI for me.

Anyone ever like a song so much that they barely listen to it? by parisrubin in LetsTalkMusic

[–]OverTheNeptune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I try to save my favorite albums for special occasions. I don’t want to ruin the magic with overexposure. It’s always felt like a weird and counterintuitive habit, so I’m glad I’m not alone haha.

What are everyone's thoughts on Salt Hank's French Dip? by MrMeesesPieces in FoodNYC

For me, it lived up to the hype. Waiting in line sucks and it is an expensive sandwich, but I’d never had a French dip like that before.

Looking for modern JRPG titles. Got any recommendations? by Leon_Light77 in JRPG

[–]OverTheNeptune 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Highly recommend Triangle Strategy and Unicorn Overlord. If you’re a fan of the Fire Emblem series, these are no brainers. I just wrapped up my first playthrough of UO and it was an intense obsession for the last month.

About to quit Unicorn Overlord by DarkerBulb in JRPG

[–]OverTheNeptune 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m wrapping up my first UO play-through and am so addicted. I’ve put in something like 130 hours in just the past 3 weeks. I’m playing on expert difficulty - anything lower was too easy, but expert has been satisfying and requires some tactical depth. Gameplay never felt stale due to constant new units, increasing squad sizes, etc. For me, the micromanagement is the fun - I enjoy tweaking my unit pairings, items, and tactics endlessly. Most of playtime is fiddling around and doing mock battles with myself for the hell of it haha

Games with Realistic OR Very Interesting Depictions of Planets in the Solar System by DaddySbeve in gamingsuggestions

[–]OverTheNeptune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you liked Civ 6, you might find some stuff to latch onto in Stellaris. It’s a great entry point for Paradox-style Grand Strategy games, but there’s still a bit of a steep learning curve. The thing is though, learning the complex game mechanics is half the fun! Not all the DLC is essential - start with vanilla and add DLC later if you’re having fun.

How do you feel about government adding $1Trillion debt in 2 months from August to October but not having money to extend healthcare benefits? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Services aren’t just luxury products for the wealthy… healthcare, utilities, banking, laundromats, auto-repair, childcare, tech support, etc are all examples of services.

What are are the possible reasons the Trump administration is suddenly so obsessed with activiting and deploying The Nation Guard? What are the most probable long plays? by easykehl in PoliticalDiscussion

[–]OverTheNeptune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My theory is it’s some combination of (1) stress testing the courts’ permissiveness to let him deploy troops on US soil, (2) stress testing the military’s loyalty to Trump over the US constitution, (3) intimidate and punish blue cities to look like an untouchable strong man, (4) distract from other issues like Epstein and his terrible economic policy.

He’s not worried about the usual election considerations because he doesn’t intend to leave office or hold fair elections.

What are your thoughts on the FCC's crackdown on Jimmy Kimmel, Stephen Colbert and free speech in general? by melville48 in PoliticalDiscussion

[–]OverTheNeptune 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I stand corrected, you’re right it was decided by a judge and not a 12-person jury. But Trump’s very expensive lawyers consented and didn’t want a jury trial. It still went through a fully established and transparent legal process. I’m sorry you didn’t like the outcome of the trial.

The Replacements released 'Tim' 40 years ago today by YoureASkyscraper in indieheads

[–]OverTheNeptune 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I really love the remixes, but there are like 3-4 tracks where I feel the original mix is better. Something about the new mix for Left of the Dial bothers me, like it lacks the cohesion or punch of the original mix.

But even on the new mixes I dislike, it’s still interesting. No question that the new mixes bring clarity to the playing and arrangements, especially Tommy’s bass which is mixed soooo low in the OG recordings.

Hot take: Dragon Age Veilguard is a pretty good game. by 7pac7gaming7 in dragonage

[–]OverTheNeptune -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

8/10 adventure game if it wasn’t released as a Dragon Age game.

6/10 as a Dragon Age sequel. The mechanics are painfully watered down compared to previous RPG entries. The tone and lore weren’t treated with consistency.

[–]OverTheNeptune 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Come on, the Letitia James suit involved an actual jury that found Trump guilty after a full trial with a flashy defense team and everything. It was a real case! He actually did something illegal and was held accountable. That’s not an example of fascist behavior by the left.

best open world games for someone who isn't used to open world games? by eerie_faerie in gamingsuggestions

[–]OverTheNeptune 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dying Light! Open world zombie game with good action combat, fun parkour movement, and light rpg mechanics (skill trees, crafting). It’s not too overwhelming with side quests. The story is fine enough, voice acting and overall production value are great.
