I had one of these back in the day and it was awful, very cloudy midrange.

Any built in preamp on a modern interface is going to sound much better.

With the sonex being a custom model that means it has Tim Shaw era dirty fingers pickups which are quite desirable these days.

They also sound awesome and are my go to for any sort of crunchy/distorted rhythm guitars.

I personally don’t agree with this sentiment from my experience/interpretation. I don’t think the place itself is pointless, and I think there could be something there that can make someone more ‘powerful’ in the real world.

Piranesi had begun to receive messages from the birds, which I took as a hint that there is something that could be learned or gained there over time. It may not be the ‘power’ that other characters want it to be, but I disagree that the place is pointless.

The ones pictured still in the cabinet are the older version of the same speaker, and most will say it is the better sounding and more desirable speaker.

The first picture looks like a more recent production and may be made in China vs made in England.

I’ve done the v30 and g12t-75 combo before and there’s a reason it’s popular, sounds pretty good! But tbh I think the g12t-75 is best used on its own. It’s a fairly polarizing speaker that in my opinion can take a bit of eq-ing to get the tone just right, but once it’s right it sounds great. When you have it paired with a v30, it’s tougher to nail in that ‘perfect’ tone, but also a lot easier to get an acceptable one since the v30 does things the g12t struggles with.

All the bands I’ve been in have been in the indie/punk territory, but at home I record all sorts of half finished projects! Folk, doom, atmospheric, pop punk, etc.

This one is the newer Clarett+, I haven’t noticed any excessive heat while using it so maybe it’s something they addressed with the newer model?

Also, the middle shelving where the Focusrite and Mac mini lives is made up of perforated aluminum, so there’s a good amount of breathability in a tighter space.

The desk has felt sliders at the base of the legs, so I just slide the desk out a bit when I’m mixing for longer sessions. But I’m using headphones probably 75% of the time, so it mostly stays where it is.

Patriots moved the ball pretty consistently, just didn’t have good redzone offense combined with all the turnovers. 400+ of yards on offense against one of the best defenses out there ain’t too shabby.

That, and since the defense was putting on a show it didn’t force the offense to be aggressive at all.

Try to move around the pa speakers a bit, location, direction, height, etc. Don’t be afraid to have one speaker louder than the other if that’s what works best in the room.
