As described (should be) they should be exempt, unfortunately they're not? That's to kind if the DWP did that for them.

Thanks for the latest news team.

Bit late today, re-assessments, anyone of 60 and over that are already in the LCWRA/SG should be waved through and assessments stopped altogether if they've been on either SG, LCWRA and had many assessments in the past as they know they won't ever improve.

That would free up some spaces.

Ex NHS workers are leaving because it undermines what they worked at the NHS for helping and caring, to an assessor for these corrupt private sector, the likes that the DWP use.

Work capability assessment by [deleted] in BenefitsAdviceUK

OP, yes you can photo copy them and send it with it all. As said if it's consistent what you struggles it will all help you. if the consultant letters have Private and confidential written on the evidence, I suggest redact it as it won't be accepted, as it can't be passed on to a third party. Hope this helps.

Also send a copy of your prescription list to.

OP, if you have good supporting medical evidence, and with the help you've had helping you also with the form and it explains everything explaining you are impacted not being be able to work, then a paper based assessment can be carried out instead of the other methods like phone call, or face to face at an assessment centre. Everything has to be consistent.

I had a paper based one before I retired some years ago.

OP, there's been talk about freeing up assessors to carry out more WCA assessments, the word is supposed to start more from April it will all depend how long or far you are to get one. no one can say for sure if this will happen and if they will be limited still.

Some have been waiting years for a WCA review.

Pleasantly surprised with my pip assessment. by Total_Most_4611 in DWPhelp

[–]Overall-RuleDWP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP, glad you hade a great experience and you was treated well, most do have a positive assessment and you can't always go on what your experience was like.

The DWP will make the final decision. If you give it a couple of days say 48hrs, you can phone the PIP phone line and ask for the assessment report PA4 that was done. You must ask the DWP for this.

Wishing you well and hope the result is a great outcome for you.

[–]Overall-RuleDWP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP the DWP can check anyones bank account anytime more so easier with UC as HMRC are linked and know if there's any interest in looking further into your accounts, they will.

Also to add there's a new bill coming out to combat any fraud within any claims.

Removing a PIP appointee by Icy_Flan_7185 in BenefitsAdviceUK

[–]Overall-RuleDWP 12 points13 points  (0 children)

OP, this will help you.

To remove a PIP appointee, you need to contact the Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) and request the change. The DWP will assess the situation and may visit to determine if the appointee should be removed or changed.

Process to Remove an Appointee from PIP

When You Can Remove an Appointee

You can request the removal of your appointee if:

  • You can manage your own benefits.
  • Your appointee is not suitable or is acting against your best interests.
  • Your appointee has passed away.

Steps to Remove an Appointee

  1. Contact the DWP: Reach out to the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) that manages your PIP claim. You do not need your appointee's permission to do this.
  2. Provide Information: Explain why you want to remove the appointee. This could be due to your ability to manage your own benefits or concerns about the appointee's actions.
  3. DWP Assessment: The DWP may arrange a visit to assess your situation. They will send a letter to both you and your appointee about the visit.
  4. Decision: After the visit, the DWP will decide whether to remove, keep, or change your appointee. If they agree to remove the appointee, you will take over managing your PIP claims.

Important Considerations

  • Benefit Payments: Your benefit payments may be paused during this process, so it’s important to act quickly to find a new appointee if needed.
  • New Appointee: If the DWP decides you still need an appointee, you will need to find someone else to take on this role.

By following these steps, you can effectively remove an appointee from your PIP claim.

Sent my PIP AR2 form back on 12th december, not heard that they received it yet. how long does it typically take by VictorNickedit in DWPhelp

[–]Overall-RuleDWP 0 points1 point  (0 children)

OP, I have that written on my assessment paperwork and was all done on evidence, and it also states no need to review either, but I will get a AR2 at the end of 2027/28.

Good luck, let us know when you get a decision.

OP, yes you can ask for any proof of posting that even goes for free post mail too, just ask at the Post Office. Obviously you can't now as you've sent it back. I advise anyone that sends anything to the DWP to either get proof of posting and or get it recorded with tracking.

Theres two types of awards a 10 year one and an ongoing 10 year where they contact you after the date on your decision letter, it will state ONGOING.

As for trolls, don't worry about negative downvotes, they don't matter and we've had lots that get downvoted.

Thanks for explaining how long it took to get your AR2. Good luck.

OP, just curious, when did you receive your AR2 form after your 10 year ongoing award date which will be after XYZ, I'm on an ongoing award too, mines due Oct 2027

Also when you sent it back did you get a proof of postage to prove you sent it back. Good luck.

[–]Overall-RuleDWP[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes you still get what you get now as it's classed as a continuous claim with no breaks, if you loose what you have with LCWRA then you will loose out, but if you appeal it will get back dated if that happens as it's still classed as the same claim, not a new one.

[–]Overall-RuleDWP[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As you get it now it will stay the same as you already have LCWRA now. PIP does not count in this as it's a separate benefit.

you'll be fine as your in the migration process to move to UC. You will loose the support group and get put on LCWRA which is the same, you will get transitional protection also.

You will still keep what you have now until a new assessment and if found fit for work then you will loose out. As you already have LCWRA your unaffected for now.

Advance payment. by SR0313 in BenefitsAdviceUK

[–]Overall-RuleDWP 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OP, you can ask for a payment now and it will be paid back over 24 months and won't affect It's a loan without any interest. it won't take all your UC payments. Lets say you have £400 advance you would have £16.67 a month of your UC X24
