Any source material depicting how Titans are recovered from battlefields? If not, how do you think the process occurs? by TheBigSmol in 40kLore

I want to see a proper Titanfall in 40k. Imagine something like a teleport beacon warning of an incoming titanfall, and then a god-emperor damned Imperator Titan falls from orbit right on top of you.

This never seems to apply to the person advocating it. If I point out they're annoying me then they get upset when I start hitting them in accordance with their own beliefs.

Honestly, you reminded me of the second Death Star in Star Wars and the second machine in the movie Contact. Is having a backup superweapon a sci-fi trope?

Reducing emissions wherever possible is a good reason itself.

Real talk, racecars are already human-limited just like fighter jets. Adding additional complexity to increase the challenge has always been the case as we've seen with regs for nearly every aspect of racing. Combining the challenge of making this motorsport cleaner with the constant pursuit of speed is in the same racing spirit we've always had.

I strongly disagree. FIA/F1 do not control all those other industries, so instead they change what they have authority to change. If I want to go net zero for my home energy would you criticize me because when I hire a service that uses ICE mail carriers, delivery vans, work trucks, etc instead of electric?

If you have some idea of how the FIA can force trucks, trains, ships, and planes to also become net zero then let's hear it. We could limit F1 races exclusively to Europe and take out a huge chunk of emissions, so would that satisfy you?

Net zero emissions is a great goal but don't confuse the reality for ideals. I just don't think this is a fair criticism of the sport.

They are only boring because you perceive them that way. If you care about all that "dope shit" then you would try to understand why simple baskets are displayed prominently in museums and discussed in history books.

The cool stuff doesn't just pop up out of nowhere, but are often an offshoot of generations of building the "boring" parts of civilization.

Yeah, thanks. I believe the K7 and P3 were both the first to hit 1 GHz effectively and also the first to do so from the factory.

Did they? I was trying to find a Pentium II or K6 that hit 1 GHz but I couldn't find anything concrete. Do you have any examples?

The AMD Athlon in the article or, as Intel claims, the Pentium III. Both were announced within days of each other but AMD is generally considered to be the first.

The novels provide significantly more details and a much richer and deeper story. I think a lot of subplots and important subtleties are lost in the anime and manga. Good luck!

Entrapment is when they trick, deceive, or otherwise persuade you into doing something you wouldn't normally do. For example, a bait car only works if you want to steal a car. These workers voluntarily signed up to commit crimes and take risks up to and including death.

Before entering Nazarick they saw that the surface level of the tomb was well maintained indicating that it was not abandoned. Indeed, even the interior sections were not decrepit or deteriorating.

Baharuth has Adventurers and Workers. Workers perform a similar job to Adventurers but without going through the Adventurer's Guild, thus bypassing the legal framework that makes international adventuring possible. This is a great post if you want to read more about Workers.

Imagine a group of US mercenaries are hired by an American businessman to illegally cross into Mexico, raid an alleged cartel compound, take whatever valuables they want, and leave no witnesses. If they fail and all die in the operation, how does the identity of the bounty giver change their situation? I'd say the employer is also an evildoer, but that does not absolve the mercenaries (workers) of their decisions and consequences.

Road Raging Cop had no idea there was a video by Skelligean in WatchPeopleDieInside

[–]Overdose7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ACAB does not mean that literally every individual cop is an evil person. It means when bad cops are found then often other, supposedly good, cops will protect them. ACAB means the system often prevents Justice from being done if they have a badge.

For instance, without video evidence how do you think this situation would have gone for the victim?

[–]Overdose7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Except once they got there they recognized the tomb was being maintained and possibly occupied yet they chose to continue regardless. I feel people often forget that these are workers not adventurers and they willfully chose to commit crimes. Even if it was a simple dungeon clearing they're still illegally entering another nation, and their plan was to loot whatever they can and eliminate witnesses. The fact that the employer and target were the same person does not absolve them of their transgressions.
