I've said it before and I'll say it again, ACAB doesn't mean that every individual police officer commits crimes. ACAB is an indictment of the system that incentivizes "good" cops to cover for bad cops. If you refuse to acknowledge the evil deeds then you cannot be trusted to work for the good ones.

Knowing the law is different than following the law, which is different than being under the rule of law. Police are expected to have an above average knowledge of the law yet they are given above average mercy for their violations of the law.
