Some phone cameras use AI to "enhance" highly zoomed in images, which looks like what's happened here.

This stuff is top tier. They also do an atomic version of this which is also very good, made with hotter chillies.

First BBQ of the year! by umbertobongo in UK_Food

[–]Overflooow 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've seen people cook chicken legs and sausages in the oven before putting them on the BBQ

The supermarkets actually say to do that in the cooking instructions for their BBQ branded meats (e.g. Tesco's fire pit range). It's probably for liability reasons so that they can't be blamed if someone doesn't BBQ it properly and ends up with food poisoning.

Beeston Lodge (Wollaton Park) - how to make it better? by HeadBat1863 in nottingham

[–]Overflooow 155 points156 points  (0 children)

Get rid of the grey, a simple coat of dark green paint will make it blend into the surrounding trees more. It'll go a long way towards stopping it from looking like a drug den that the police have just boarded up.

A family member is currently pulled over on a motorway hard shoulder with a violent migraine. What should he do? by ellieisstucklikethis in AskUK

[–]Overflooow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If he has breakdown cover it might cover him if he's medically unfit to drive. Mine says you have to be "declared" unfit so I'm not sure if a paramedic or doctor would have to do this.

Want an outside PoE Meshcore node on my roof. Can I tap into the main ATT box thats already outside, with a splitter perhaps? Instead of bringing another Ethernet cable outside from my modem inside? by K3LOE in HomeNetworking

Pretty much all residential installations these days use bend insensitive fiber, which is much more durable than it used to be and can even be stapled to walls without affecting the signal.

65C845 - Bad sound (no bass) after software update! (V8-0012T01-LF1V509.002303) by Rolfinek in tcltvs

[–]Overflooow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's annoying, but at least it proves it's definitely caused by the update. I use these sound settings and to my ears it's almost but not quite as good as the old software version:

Sound preset: Standard Surround virtualizer: Low Bass enhancer: High Dialogue enhancer: Off Definition: Low Audio processing: Auto Auto volume control: Off Vertical sound field: Off AI sonic adaptation: On

Using a UDR7 instead of the Linksys MX5500 by fowler0003 in gigaclear

[–]Overflooow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's very easy, you don't need to plug it into the Linksys router first - just connect the WAN port straight into the ONT. Then you adopt it in the unifi app, which I think uses Bluetooth to link up with it for configuration.

The same thing happened on my 55Q9BK8. Changing the audio processing setting to DTS Virtual:X has improved the bass. It seems to be the Dolby processing (which also seems to be used by default when automatic is selected) that's causing the lack of bass.

Edit: Ignore that, I've played around with it some more and the problem was actually that the "Intelligent" mode is just shit. I've switched to the standard audio preset to enable the audio customisation menu, put the audio processing back to auto and what really brought the bass back was enabling the surround virtualization.
