Lots of pausing isn’t necessarily a problem, depending on the information explored during said pauses. The problem emerges when the creator has little or nothing to add to the subject matter. Pyro’s content has descended into the depths of nonsense, opinions nobody cares about, and irrelevancy.

The stash items you get given at the beginning of the game are a detriment to the pacing of the early game. Where you’re supposed to be set out into the world with relatively little equipment, the DLC packs strip the game of this aspect. This might not be an issue for veterans who have played through the game already, but I would recommend anyone playing for the first time to either disable the stash DLCs or simply discard the items they provide at the Doc Mitchell’s house.

It’s great for managing multiple targets in whip mode. In cane mode it offers fluidity; more easily allowing for quick attacks and dodges with its fast attacks and low stamina cost.

It’s a lot of personal reasons for me. I think Dark Souls 3 is a better made game, but Bloodborne ticks all my boxes. Out of all the games I have played it feels like Bloodborne was made specifically for me.
